“My friend and I were craving a sweet treat and headed for T Swirl Crepe! The shop is small but had a hip feel to it! We ordered 2 Banana Nutella Crepes on the kiosk, and the cashier notified us about a promotion! Super sweet of him and we were able to get 2 scoops of ice cream! ^^

“YuanYang Dessert (鸳鸯糖水铺) captures the essence of traditional Chinese desserts while presenting them in a polished and modern way. I’ve been here twice and each visit highlighted how much thought they put into ingredients, texture, and flavor balance.

On my first visit, the mango pomelo sago stood out as a refreshing Hong Kong classic the sweetness of ripe mango balanced by the slight bitterness of pomelo and creaminess of coconut milk. The roasted pear with peach gum and snow lotus seeds felt both elegant and nourishing, the pear naturally sweet while the jelly-like peach gum and lotus seeds added texture and health benefits. The soymilk pudding was silky with a subtle nuttiness from fresh soybeans, and the double-layer milk custard, a Shunde specialty, was rich yet delicate with its signature milk skin that melted smoothly on the palate.

On the second visit, the jasmine tea cheese pudding combined floral fragrance with creamy depth, creating an elegant bite. The vanilla ice cream with cappuccino egg pudding came topped with granola and oats, along with raisins ,I personally wasn’t a fan of the raisins, but the dessert overall still worked well, balancing the creaminess of ice cream, the light bitterness of cappuccino pudding, and the crunch from the toppings. The jasmine stove-boiled milk tea, served in a clay pot with red dates and jasmine flowers , was aromatic and comforting, brewed slowly for a rounded flavor with natural sweetness from the dates and earthy notes from the flower.

The shop itself is cozy and welcoming, and while prices can be a little on the higher side for the portion size, the overall quality and execution make it worthwhile. There’s also a small 1% surcharge for card payments, but it doesn’t take away from the experience. Overall it is a lovely spot for anyone who enjoys traditional Chinese sweets with a refined, modern touch.“

“You can taste freshly baked walnut cookies at Cocohodo, and they are so delicious!! The atmosphere is cozy and cute, and the coffee is delicious!!“

“This bakery used to have another location in downtown flushing. I tried their cake before and liked it. So it decided to order a custom cake and cupcake from them.

The owner/baker was very easy to communicate with via text. She explained all the details to me, even suggested to go light on the color of the cake, too much food coloring is not good for children. This is something I have not thought of as a mother ! And I appreciate her reminding me of this !!

On the day of the pick up, I was a bit worry about how the cake would turn out. The cake turned out great !! and it tastes great too !! Several of our guests at the party ask for the bakery and they want to order cakes for their own birthday !!

“A little pricey however worth the experience and very cute desserts! This places offers a different kind of shaved ice, the ice has a unique flavor that is milky and smooth. I recommend the milk tea flavored one (I didn’t take a pic), we also got fruit one. I just generally don’t like fruits in desserts. They taste old. “Ordered recently for my birthday two cookies online which were Chocolate Mallow Cupcake Cookie and the Pink Velvet Cake Cookie which were amazing and delicious. The order was ready when I arrived. The place does get a bit packed but the staff do a great job of crowd control. Oscar was amazing and handed my order and ask if I needed a bag which is great customer service. “The Dubai chocolate brownie probably one of the best we had from crumbles. Pink sugar/red velvet was also great. My son crazy for crumble cookies sometimes I took a bites it’s really fulfilling . “During my time in Kingston last year, I enjoyed a lot of the menu options such as the fruit salads (especially the ones with chocolate in it). I especially enjoyed the banana crepe, velvet crepe, chicken crepe, garlic beef crepe, and the chocolavo drink. All the options were quite unique and worth the price. It's too bad this place is closed though. I really wish there was a restaurant in my current area that is at least remotely similar to Fruit Festival.“

The Chocolate Chip Walnut was the ultimate balance of everything you look for in a comfort treat while the Funfetti flavor caught me by surprise and is now considered the best sugar cookie I ever had in my life. There is two other flavors in the box I have yet to try and I have a feeling they won't disappoint, but after having those two said flavors, it is without a doubt that I will definitely be coming back for more sometime soon in the near future. Pie is good (my friend really loved it, but was a little too sweet for me), the cornflake cookie is good. Most surprising was the peanut butter cookie! I don't usually like peanut butter cookies, but I did like this one. It was also a little less sweet. I'd come back to this location to try the soft serve or some of the other options.“

“Great place for crazy cookie flavors, a little pricey and other than the everyday flavors the specialty flavors are more expensive. If you join their club you get a FREE cookie for your bday but only the daily flavors, specialty ones are not included and they should be, after all if it's your bday you should be able to pick what you like. Even though cookies are pricey they can be worth the try because I feel this is not a daily place but a nice treat once in a while.“

“Had the most AMAZING Poboy & conversation with the owner/cook of sweet tooth. The business has been on Garvey for 17 years and I think it’s because he stayed true to himself, pork free soulfood, chopped chicken barbecue sandwiches, Poboy and homemade iced teas and let’s not forget about the desserts which I didn’t get to get any because I’m on a sweet break but next time I pop in I’m definitely getting a sweet potato cheesecake. Now for my sandwich, I had four juicy shrimp on 1/2 and on the other two pieces of flounder garnish with a secret sauce and a slaw mix toasted to perfection. It was so delicious. Definitely popping back in to try more things on the item and if you’re like me, looking for a black owned businesses that hit the nail on the head definitely pop into sweet tooth.“

“@spotdessertbar has been always my fave dessert place when they opened first time many years ago. You can order single dessert or if you want to order varieties of it, they have Omakase deal for $79.95 (5 tapas dessert, 3 pastries and 1 pot of tea).

My top fave is Matcha Lava cake. The moment I cut into it, that warm, gooey pure chocolate started flowing. The outside is perfectly baked, soft with a slight crisp. Not overly sweet, just rich and so satisfying. Paired with a scoop of ny fave Matcha ice cream. Absolute perfection.

Also must order Harvest which is in the shape of plant pot (very creative !). It's layered soft cheesecake, milk tea with raspberry sorbet on the side.

We also ordered Hey Jasmine (jasmine panna cotta, pandan sago, raspberry sauce, jasmine ice cream) and Sweet Beanie (red bean mochi Mousse with black sesame ice cream). They are all so delicious and unique.

Peachy Summer is very refreshing with their shaved ice of white peach granita, passion fruit cremeux and coconut sauce.“
