About Good Luck Kitchen

Good Luck Kitchen is a well-known Cantonese restaurant that offers authentic and delicious dishes. Though small and often busy, especially during dinner hours, it is highly recommended for its flavorful Cantonese cuisine. Many customers praise the wide variety of offerings and the overall good dining experience, making it a hidden gem.

The restaurant features a new updated menu with many pictures of the dishes they cook, and they can accommodate dietary needs. They have a large lunch menu, and the food is very good. Customers enjoy the barbecue pork, roast duck, and chicken, as well as the fresh live fish, lobster, and crab in tanks. The food is rich and satisfying, especially the classic Cantonese dishes and BBQ meats like soy sauce chicken, roast pork, and stir-fried bean sprouts.

The service is often fast, but it can be dismissive or rude at times, and the restaurant's C grade posted in the window indicates it’s not the cleanest place. Despite this, the food remains a highlight and keeps many customers coming back. At the end of the meal, they provide a fruit and sweet soup dessert that often changes. Recommended dishes include Honey BBQ, Lobster fried rice, egg tofu with mushrooms, string beans with ground meat, steamed fish, filet mignon, clams/snails, and roast duck. This place is more about the food than atmosphere or service, but it consistently delivers solid, old-school Cantonese BBQ.

If you're looking for ambiance this isn't the place for you. If you're looking for old school Chinatown feeling and food then yes you'll like it here.

Good Luck Kitchen is always busy for good reason. It's even busy on a weeknight, which is a definitely a testament to how good their food is. Obviously I also tried their Lobster Sticky Rice, which is definitely better than many other places. Even my Canto friends trek all the way here because they said the food here is super authentic and delicious. Their jellyfish and cucumber salad is delicious, steamed fish is so fresh and amazing, eggplant and chicken casserole in the clay...read full review
