Unfortunately, my experience here wasn’t quite the same. The service felt slow and a bit disengaged, and the second-floor dining area could use a little more attention. “A wide selection of Asai (and other based) bowls. Endless combinations of fruit with added garnishments. Reading the founders story and appreciating the immersive design of the location you can almost feel like you escaped from 2nd avenue off to a warm sunny beach elsewhere. Enjoy surfing the flavors of your bowl, there is no need for sunscreen and you won't need to clean up any sand before you get back home. There is an additional seating space to and a restroom inside. The servings are bigger than your average Asai bowl (may be enough for 2) but the prices are also relatively high.“

Today I ordered a hot plate (grilled chicken, brown rice and black beans, purple cabbage, and plantains).. OMG! Lol. I had no clue the food was as good as it was. I HIGHLY recommend! “Love Playa Bowls—best açaí bowls hands down!!! They’re hearty and you get a nice size bowl/amount for the price. The options are insane!

My favorite is the power -açaí bowl w/ peanut butter (shown in the picture). My kids love the mucho mango (also in the picture) and the Stupid Cupid (not pictured).

This particular location is a nice size. They have a few tables inside as well as a seating area. There is usually seating outside as well but the entire sidewalk block is under construction at the moment.

I’ve never experienced bad customer service. I’ve dined in, ordered online for pickup, AND I’ve had it delivered before. Always a 10/10!“

“11/8/2025 I tried the Just Salad in Bayside, and it tasted just as amazing as the one I had in Garden City! The restaurant was nice, clean, and bright — I loved the wall art and welcoming vibe.
One thing I really appreciate is that they ask how you want your dressing: light, medium, or heavy. Of course, I said heavy, because that Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette is so lovely! I honestly can’t imagine a salad without it — I’m officially in love with this bowl. 🥗💚
My only concern was the meat toppings being kept in tin holders — it made me wonder how long they’d been sitting there. Hopefully it’s a quick turnover and everything is freshly prepped, because food safety is important. As someone with allergies, I’m extra mindful about what I eat and where I eat.
Next time, I’ll go meat-free and make my protein at home, but I’ll definitely be back for that fresh, flavorful salad. This was my first time dining inside (the other times I ordered delivery to work), and it reminded me how important it is to visit the places that make our food.

It’s a lovely, old school health food store that manages to fit a large number of options into a relatively small space. I wish the shop had a website as not everyone is on Facebook, but maybe that will come eventually.“

“Located on 3rd Avenue and 93rd, this store has been around for many, many, years. It's a real neighborhood gem. They are doing the best they can now, but I encourage it's new and established customers to purchase as many items there as they need. Raj, the manager is highly knowledgeable about the products, He knows his customers and caters to us. He is kind and generous and has given special attention to customers in the neighborhood. He visited my friend in the hospital after a major operation, with treats. Food For Health sells a vast variety of items including organic veggies, coffee, tea, dried and canned goods, dairy, smoothies, fresh peanut butter, frozen meals, snacks, spices, vitamins, etc, etc., etc.“

“It's literally a little hole in the wall place. BUT DELICIOUS & HEALTHY. we came here to try the wraps, and it left us wanting to try the whole menu. The employees are super friendly and fast workers. This place was a bit crowded & they do not have any dine in services. There are no tables, so it is for to go orders only. Even though it was crowded, we were in and out in no time. It's definitely a 10/10 place. The food was just amazing. Also, it was very clean on the inside. It was not overpriced either. It was actually pretty cheap, in my opinion.

Smoothie was made quickly and tasted delicious. He even offered to make me another one if I didn’t like the taste of the one he recommended. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Great experience.
