“I’ve been getting my deli meat exclusively here since Covid. They’re great. I can even call in the order in advance and it’s sliced and ready when I get there. Egg sandwiches are also great. We get them a lot when we’re going hiking because they’re big and filling. Recently we tried the chicken cutlet subs and the Buffalo chicken wrap. Holy crap! Out of this world. Each sub literally had 4 chicken cutlets.“

“I'm a first-time visitor introduced to Kickstart Coffee this week by a village resident - I knew immediately that the owners knew how customers want to feel. The gent at the counter was friendly and patient. He crafted my coffee with the pride and talent of a traditional barista. Who needs big city branding and pricing when you can get top notch coffee and service at a place that takes such pride in its work. I wish them great success - they deserve it.“

“This Place is Great. We stayed in parking lot while traveling. Six of us found different brews or ciders we enjoyed. My favorite was the Brown Ale. There are so many choices.
And then there's the pizza!. Really the best pizza we ever had. The meatball pizza was topped with homemade meatballs cut in half. The crust is perfectly crispy.

My wife had the grilled cheese and tomato soup which she gave three stars. My daughter had the chili and she and I agreed it was the weal link in the experience. “We stopped by for some beer and Detroit Style pizza on Saturday. Even though they were super busy before the Belmont on Broadway concert, they served us very quickly. The staff was very fast and efficient. Our food came out after a very short wait. The beer is always good and the pizza was amazing. “As a former marine our crew stopped in on a wet Saturday during Americade , no clue about anything but they had slushies and beer. OMG!! The owners Chris and Heather were so personable and friendly. There knowledge of what they talked about was second to none . They made our group of 11 feel right home. The drinks and the drink names totally on point ! Are only disappointing point is we didn’t know about this place years ago ! It was the best part of our trip this year and can’t wait till our next visit . “I love The Basin Grill. The food is so good. However, my last experience there was absolutely awful. Saturday July 19 it’s my birthday and my husband made a reservation Friday for Saturday for 5 pm for 6 people. We show up and are told there’s no room outside and we’d have to wait. My husband said “even with a reservation” with an attitude the young hostess said “ yeah we don’t have room” A guy managed to put a couple tables together for us, said that’s for us so we were sat within 10 minutes. After that 10 minutes, in direct sun light we had to wait about 20 minutes before we even got to place a drink order. Another 15 minutes goes by, they brought my husband’s beer and took our appetizer order. Still no other drinks. Appetizers start to come out. We ordered Brussels, medium wings and street corn. Brussels great. Wings! Another waitress came over and said it wasn’t our wings. My mom already touched them but she definitely doesn’t want hot so we send them back…waitress came back- still no drinks and says there is nothing they can do about the wings. I spoke up and said- they didn’t make them wrong-you grabbed someone’s else’s order- finally get drinks. My mom’s drink had dead ants floating ( we realize it’s outside, but still gross) have the waitress get a new one and finally the correct wings and street corn. - we decided not to order meals and leave. $100 later, and a 20% tip still because we can’t not tip…I was so excited to share this place with my mom, aunt and a couple friends and let’s just say it didn’t excite them. We will try again in the future but this experience was awful.“

I ordered the coconut tacos which were amazing but I was so full already I only had one. I got the rest in a to go box. As me and my family walked out the door of the restaurant I realized I left my tacos on the table. My mom and I ran back inside to find the table completely cleared. My mom asked one of the staff if they knew of it was thrown away and they said yes. I said I didn’t mind if they gave it to me out of the trash because that’s how good it was I didn’t want to leave it behind. I believe it was the manager who overheard the exchange and said that she was going to remake a fresh one for me. It was the kindest thing ever she even included the sour cream, beans, rice, and even a bag of chips. You don’t always see this type of wonderfully kind service so if I were you I would totally go! And get the ribs!“
