I’ve been on the island for about 5 years now and am happy to have finally discovered a bagel spot where the price and quality meet hand in hand.“

“I am in town for the weekend and stopped in for coffee and breakfast at about 11 am on a Saturday. I was originally going to pick up food to head back over to the airbnb but ended up staying while I ate a chicken empanada, an Everything Flagel (flat bagel) with lox cream cheese, and a cup of coffee. As I ate, a lot of people came and went and seemed to know the place really well. It appears to be a family business and the customer service is friendly and efficient. The parking is plentiful and convenient, and the place is clean with a great assortment of fresh bagels. The coffee is fresh and average tasting. I was amazed at how many people ordered ordered bagels with the inside fluff scooped out, which I have been doing forever. This is why I was so happy to discover the Flagel which I asked them to scoop out anyway, but there was less to scoop out because it is already flat. I'm interested only in the crispy part, not the soft bready part inside. The empanada was great. They have chicken and beef. If you buy 6 of them, then the 7th one is free. The dessert/sweets assortment varied from things that looked homemade to packaged cookies to muffins from Costco. To go, I bought 2 more garlic bagels with lox and regular cream cheese, a bagel with some homemade chicken salad, a beef and a chicken empanada, plus a black-and-white cookie (which was fresh and delicious even though it was prepackaged.) This place is great, and I wish there was one like this where I live in Redondo Beach, CA. The only negative thing I have to say about Bethpage Bagels is that I wish that they would accept some form of payment other than only cash. Even if it were Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal, any other option would be an easier and more sanitary way to pay for food. I don't like seeing people in a food establishment handling dirty coins and bills if they are also putting food into bags and containers. That's the only reason why I didn't give this place a 5-star rating. If this were not a cash only establishment, I would've purchased 7 empanadas to go, instead of only 2!“

“Turnpike Deli is a pleasant place to stop, largely thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff. Service is consistently polite, and the overall atmosphere is comfortable. Most of the food is generally good and reliable, making it a solid option for a quick bite or a casual meal.
That said, the muffins are a weak point. They tend to be dry and not very flavorful, and the prices overall are on the higher side for what you get. Still, the good service and dependable food make it a place worth considering, especially if you’re nearby and value friendly customer interaction.“

From the time I walk in, I am greeted by warm, genuine smiles from the staff and exceptional customer service. The bagels are always fresh, fluffy, and delicious! My number one order is the matcha latte with oat milk. It is such a treat! It is a good blend of matcha and milk. It doesn’t taste watered down. It is flavorful and helps me to get my day started.

“Two days ago I stopped in for a big breakfast. Everything is cooker and prepared right infront of you, everything is clean and the staff there is ontop of getting to you right away.

The wait is normal considering this is a made to order spot and cooked with care.

We got a couple of sandwiches a side of homefries and pancakes that was straight out of this world.

You wonder how some places the breakfast has no taste, almost like it’s just generic bacon egg and cheese on a plain roll and you’re gone in under a minute.

This is not that!

The food here is delicious, the bread is on point, the grill and store is clean, they care about making the food perfect and it really shows. Hats off to them 10/10

Oh and a side note that sealed the deal is the Iced coffee comes with coffee ice cubes!“

“The first time we decided to try this place was because we were hungry for bagels during work. We never thought that it would be as good as what it is! If you are ever hungry during work or just hungry this is the place to go! The ingredients they use are so fresh and tasty and you could tell that they genuinely care for their customers and they remember everyone who orders from their place! My sister and I ordered once and then we ordered the other day as well and they included a small note for us to say thank you which I really thought was so kind of them and then my sister ordered again and they gave us free potato salad, and pickles on the side, which is very kind! When you have great food and great people working then all you have is good things to say! My twin sister recommends the nova sandwich. The way they make the bagel, the spices , and the spread. My twin sister says this is the best nova that she’s ever had. Me personally I don’t like nova but I tried the nova sandwich from this place and you guys made me change my mind. “Good bagel shop here. $9 for a BEC which is pretty standard. Friendly staff and a clean establishment. The bagels are very fluffy, it’s almost like eating a loaf of bread which is a bit too fluffy for me. Full menu of sandwiches and different spreads and meats available.“

We didnt like the egg salad which I don't add to my score since I can count on one finger how many times I have gotten that at a deli. My daughter wanted it on a whim.

“Peters CAN serve up some delicious bagels... however they are very inconsistent. I come here for the convenience as it is located in my neighborhood. However, ordering here is a coin flip. Frequently I will be missing an add-on or will ask my bagel toasted and it will not be.
I suggest going to Slims or Utopia if you're in the area.

As vegetarians we went for some paninis but they were not making them anymore (again not sure if that day or if it's off the menu).
