Grateful Lee Deli Deli • $
55700 NY-25, Southold - 4.15 miles

“I think this place would rock if it played up the Grateful Dead theme. The inside is rather plain. Outside of the name and that they sell Long Island themed Dead shirts, there isn't anything else playing up the Dead angle, which I think is a mistake.“

“The Noyack is their tuna melt- get it on a baguette. Great GREAT bread here. I ordered a meaty sandwich (Italian I think) and it wasn't great. So choose your sandwich wisely. I look forward to coming back for their Cuban sandwich. Great breakfast options too!!“

Karen’s Country Delicatessen Deli • $
28095 Main Rd, Cutchogue - 9.2 miles

“I'm leaving this review for 1 thing and 1 thing only - the Pasta salad w/ sun dried tomato, broccoli & chicken. It's my FAVORITE - the best I've ever had and I crave it all the time. I think someone else in the comments wrote it was "bland" or "didn't have flavor"? I guess their taste buds are VERY different than mine. Since I love it so much, it's the only thing I ever get on the rare instances I'm driving past. I make my own pasta salads, they're very easy to make but I've not been able to duplicate this one so I'm happy to enjoy it from here. No other delis in the area serve this type of specific salad (I've looked everywhere when I'm not in Cutchogue). As a local, I've been through every incarnation of delis in this location through the decades. I don't live in Cutchogue anymore so don't go here a lot unless I'm specifically going out of my way to pick up this salad so I can't judge on much else, unfortunately. I've heard others mention their homemade cold salads, which seems like the way to go here. I'd love to try more of them based on the 1 I like. I've asked my fiance to stop and he said it was too busy to get to the counter so probably a good idea to order in advance if they have that as an option (they absolutely should to make service streamlined & have less negative ratings!).“
