“I had read great reviews about this bakery and ordered a birthday cake for a relative. All the reviews live up to the great things said and some. This was one of the best cakes I have had in years. So fresh, so well decorated and exactly as requested. I give my 100% plus recommendation to anyone looking for a bakery. It is worth traveling to. The donuts were awesome too just as advertised. The woman who answered the phone put aside a cake for me (basic rainbow without college name) and when I picked it up, she had changed it to the colors of LIU and had the college initials on it as well. “A hidden gem with a wide assortment of unique cakes, cookies and pastries! This was my first visit here. I live 40 minutes away from it and saw this place on a Google search. They have Crumb cake Rainbow cookies, canoli filled rainbow cookies, and even rainbow cookie doughnuts! I went specifically for the rainbow cookie doughnuts. While there I picked up a delicious strawberry shortcake that had chocolate cake inside and chocolate icing covering the entire top of the cake covering vanilla cream. Everything was delicious! “Layers Bakeshop is hands down my favorite bakery. The first time I ever had Layers was actually in Pakistan, so it already held a special place for me. Later on, a close friend introduced me to the U.S. locations and fun fact, she and her brother actually own the franchise. They’ve truly done an amazing job with every store so far.

I’ve been to about three Layers locations, and while the Elmont Layers Bakeshop location is the smallest one, it’s also the closest to me, which makes it my go-to. The quality, presentation, and consistency are always on point.

Honestly, I love almost everything from this bakery, but right now my absolute favorite is anything Lotus-flavored you really can’t go wrong with it. The desserts are rich, balanced, and never disappoint.

I also noticed they’ve started making candles, which is such a smart and creative addition to the brand. It just shows how much thought they put into expanding beyond desserts while keeping the same aesthetic and quality.

If you haven’t tried Layers yet, you’re seriously missing out. Highly recommend stopping by especially the Elmont location if you’re nearby.“
