“If you want a place to go eat with dirty hands this is the one! Bathroom is always closed but there’s an alley not too far away. You can tell management really cares about the customer experience when they keep the bathroom closed from customers. And they even have tables, that alone would be a health department violation(tables without a working bathroom) but who has time to call them anyway? I think the stuff here is delicious but it could also be the flavor from the last customer on the door handle so who knows?“

Loved the place, the layout and open space of the sitting area, the way they have their cakes placed inside the fridge, not overcrowded and are able to appreciate the beauty of the cakes. “I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

“The owner is a world class j**** He initiated a confrontation with me in the parking lot. I was going through my purchases when he said in a surly, tough guy manner: You're not going to return that, are you. I thought he was joking. I responded: No just checking to see if the order was correct. He then says: My kids are smart, It's the customers who are idiots. As he was backing his car out I must have had my WTF face on as I was shaking my head. He lowered his window and started in with an insane rant. Told him he was rude and insulting and I didn't want to hear it. He continued even as I got in my car. This guy was crazy enough that he could have gotten violent. The sad part is, for years I have been patronizing Fiorello Dolce even though it is a 20 minute drive from home. I have also recommended them to several people as the best bakery around. You can be sure of two things: I will never go back there again and I will share this story with as many people as possible.“

“Tatte’s Bakery & Cafe is such a cute spot with a really inviting atmosphere. There’s decent seating for a cafe, which makes it a great place to sit, relax, or catch up with friends. The pastries are fresh and delicious which is definitely a highlight!

That said, I was a little surprised by the limited dessert selection, especially for a bakery. I expected a bit more variety. It’s also on the pricier side, so it feels more like an occasional treat rather than an everyday stop.
