“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

“This Au Bon Pain is inside the Northshore University Hospital Manhasset campus. If you are onsite and want something quick it is in the lobby. I had a nice Cream of Mushroom Soup and a Snapple on this particular day. Suited my needs. Place looks clean and has a number of tables where you can eat if you like. Staff is less than happy or customer oriented, but the food is worth the wait if you need something NOW. I will be back as necessary when I visit.“

“If you want a place to go eat with dirty hands this is the one! Bathroom is always closed but there’s an alley not too far away. You can tell management really cares about the customer experience when they keep the bathroom closed from customers. And they even have tables, that alone would be a health department violation(tables without a working bathroom) but who has time to call them anyway? I think the stuff here is delicious but it could also be the flavor from the last customer on the door handle so who knows?“

They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. I've come to know the owner, Boris, and his staff, and they are always most helpful. Looking forward to my next trip to Merrick.“
