“If you want a place to go eat with dirty hands this is the one! Bathroom is always closed but there’s an alley not too far away. You can tell management really cares about the customer experience when they keep the bathroom closed from customers. And they even have tables, that alone would be a health department violation(tables without a working bathroom) but who has time to call them anyway? I think the stuff here is delicious but it could also be the flavor from the last customer on the door handle so who knows?“

“I stopped in to Emilia’s Bakehouse Café on Walt Whitman Rd in Melville yesterday (they have another location in E. Northport) and boy, was I glad I did! I entered into a well-lit shop filled with pastries, scones, cookies, brownies, croissants, breads and quiches, etc. and was greeted with enthusiasm and a smile by 2 attractive young ladies. It was a great vibe just being there, very stress relieving. The chocolate brownie is perfection in texture and taste! The scones and peanut butter coconut power bites are delicious! Their organic Colombian coffee is the bomb, and you can get it with your favorite milk - for me it’s Oat Planet oat milk. Stop in, it’ll make your day! A feast for the eyes and tastebuds :)“

“The owner is a world class j**** He initiated a confrontation with me in the parking lot. I was going through my purchases when he said in a surly, tough guy manner: You're not going to return that, are you. I thought he was joking. I responded: No just checking to see if the order was correct. He then says: My kids are smart, It's the customers who are idiots. As he was backing his car out I must have had my WTF face on as I was shaking my head. He lowered his window and started in with an insane rant. Told him he was rude and insulting and I didn't want to hear it. He continued even as I got in my car. This guy was crazy enough that he could have gotten violent. The sad part is, for years I have been patronizing Fiorello Dolce even though it is a 20 minute drive from home. I have also recommended them to several people as the best bakery around. You can be sure of two things: I will never go back there again and I will share this story with as many people as possible.“

Many were very thick, the length of each piece was aprox. 9" in length and some were as they should have been, thin and under 4 inches in length. The time before - same issue. I said no my grandma had just passed away and family was in from out of state/country so i offered to bring pretzels. I said we would have celebrated her 91st birthday today and she said you know everyone on their birthday gets a free pretzel. She said for this particular pretzel why not everyone take a little piece so it’s like she’s there celebrating with you. Still had fun and enjoyed it. Not a fan of getting asked to tip on an experience where you literally serve yourself though, makes it weird. At almost $11 for a small pastry and a baguette I think they can afford to pay the staff enough to not need tips in an environment that really doesn't support it.“

I mean, come on—it’s Christmas Eve, the vibes are immaculate, I’ve got my playlist of Mariah Carey on repeat, and I’m ready to channel my inner architectural genius. I carefully assembled the walls with what I thought was “premium” royal icing (spoiler: it was basically sugary Elmer’s glue). Looked sturdy enough at first. Cute little windows outlined in yellow, a sprinkle roof that screamed “holiday cheer.” I even added a gummy candy garden for that extra Pinterest touch. But then… ambition struck. The roof. Oh, the roof. That heavy, candy-laden beast of a gingerbread slab. I slathered on extra icing for reinforcement, but it wasn’t enough. The whole thing started sagging like a bad facelift. Desperate times called for desperate measures, so I grabbed the Nutella—because nothing says “structural integrity” like chocolate-hazelnut spread, right? I basically mortared the roof on with a thick layer of that glorious goo. For a brief, shining moment, it held. And then… catastrophe. The roof caved in with a tragic crunch, sending gummy bears flying like fleeing villagers. Walls buckled. Icing cracked. And there, in the wreckage, lies the smoking gun: a gingerbread T-Rex, smugly perched atop the rubble with its little candy eyes judging me. Clearly, this prehistoric monster snuck in during the night (or, you know, during my five-minute bathroom break) and went full Jurassic Park on my masterpiece. Look at it—head tilted, arms outstretched like “Who, me?” while the house lies in ruins beneath its feet. The Nutella? It just added a delicious, humiliating glue to the crime scene. Looks like after his scrumptious meal, the T-Rex marked his territory with a colosal dump!“
