“Saturday evening dinner without a reservation. Walking in, my eyes immediately gravitated to the pictures of the owners and the many celebrities that have eaten and visited there before. The bar area is very nice and large, with TVs playing sports and news. We were greeted, welcomed and seated immediately. The dining area is very large and decorous. The tables large enough to sit us all. My cousin-in-law and his family frequent the restaurant and he practically knows everyone there, so as we sat, we were introduced to the owners and pretty much about a half dozen waiters and other staff members. All were extremely friendly and welcoming. As expected with all family style restaurants, the tables are very close to one another but positioned in a way that still allowed for ample space for you to move and sit comfortably. When we sat, there were hardly any people there, but within an hour it was full of patrons and large families. It was loud, but manageable. The food was unbelievably delicious. I haven't had true traditional family style Italian food in a long time. From the Fried Calamari and cold antipasto appetizers, to our Veal Parmigiana, Penne allá Vodka with Shrimp and prosciutto entrees. Paired with a Cabernet Sauvignon Palermo Napa, I truly enjoyed my meal. I haven't enjoyed food this good in a long time. My girls shared a huge plate of Chicken fingers and fries, and they loved it. Wood floors, spacious and airy. Fireplace to your right and tables scattered in 3 different rooms and there is outdoor seating too. Plants and paintings dotted the place makes it homey.I was greeted right away and the gentleman graciously gave me time to study the menu. I ordered chai latte with oatmilk and an egg sandwich with prosciutto and avacado. The chai came out pipping hot and full of flavor (tasting ginger and cardamom) the sandwich was freshly pressed and not salty at all. “I visited this restaurant today with my mom, mother-in-law and 10 month old today. I have been here numerous times in the past but I cannot say enough how wonderfully they treated us today. I’m not sure who the first man was (perhaps the owner/manager not sure) but right away he asked if my son would like strawberries. He then brought over fresh strawberries cut up and when he finished that bowl, he brought over another one without us even asking. I felt bad because most of the strawberries did end up on the floor but the man cleaned them up telling us not to worry about a thing. I had ordered my son a cheese crepe and when it came out, it again was cut into small pieces for him. When we were leaving I personally thanked the chef because I thought it was just so thoughtful of him. He then proceeded to tell me the next time we come in we can ask to add anything we would like into the crepe for my son. If your map is taking you somewhere questionable, Le Pain Quotidien is located at the Roosevelt field mall right next to Neiman Marcus and Vince. There's plenty of parking during brunch time. If you're shopping, you can find them on the first floor near the entrance to the mall between those two stores. Le Pain Quotidien is beautiful inside and clean. There are plenty of seating and different tables to choose from. They have flowers on every table and I think that's quite lovely. You enter, seat yourself. If you're on the go, you can stand in line to order. The staff is very friendly. It can be busy. It took them quite some time to bring out our food. If you've never been there, I suggest taking a look at their menu beforehand. There were a lot of delicious choices so it took us a while to decide on what we want. We ordered the organic mini Dutch pancakes with berries to share, Chicken mozzarella melt tartine with avocado (extra charge), turkey bacon & avocado tartine with an organic egg (extra charge), and a toasted paris ham & Gruyère croissant. For drinks, we ordered apple juice, an americano, and an iced latte. Everything was delicious and full of flavor! I highly recommend the mini Dutch pancakes with berries. It was light and scrumptious! The dishes were quite big so I'm sure you can share. We didn't. We were too busy devouring it. We became very quiet when the food came out. I believe I was breathing in my food.. For those who are watching their calories, their calorie count is pretty low. I had a hard time looking for something that was over 500 calories.. That's why I added the extra side order of organic egg with my meal! I thought it was very helpful to see the calories on the menu next to the dish. It would've been nice if the macros would've been posted but I'm not complaining! I plan on coming here more often to try out the different menu items and to read. You watch them go through the machine and cook and then when they come out they decorate them in front of you too after you select what decorations and flavors you want. “There are many coffee bars and coffee shops in New York State. A good many of these offer a wide selection of coffee. Most serve an excellent product. While the coffee served at the establishment I am about to discuss, is excellent, there is something extra about it that places it in a category of its own. No, this is not something that can be packaged in a brand wrapping or sold as a coffee additive that would render the elixir more delicious. I have been frequenting the Starbucks at Long Island University CW Post every Sunday for the last two years. "The Long Island Youth Orchestra" holds its rehearsals at the university and one of my children is in the orchestra. The Starbucks is located in the Hollywood Commons building. while the Commons is big the Starbucks that is tucked into the distant corner near the theater is not a particularly large. There is seating for a quick bite or to sip a cup of excellent Joe, however, when classes are in session, seats are at a premium. What stands out about this particular Starbucks is the team of baristas and the excellent manager that leads the team. Throughout the two years I have been a patron of this Starbucks, I have seen the baristas navigate long lines of coffee buyers without a hitch. I have also witnessed persnickety and downright rude patrons be dealt with civilly and effectively by the manager. The team of baristas and the store manager are a credit to the brand name. In addition, to all this, the pour over Blond is an excellent choice for a simple cup of coffee, not to strong but full bodied. The coffee is served hot and with a smile. I recommend this coffee shop when visiting the campus, the coffee is excellent and the service is stellar.“
