“Without exaggeration! it’s The best Starbucks in the area. Very welcoming and friendly staffs. My coffee is always the same (exact taste). The place is clean and smells great! The line moves super fast. Plenty of parking, even though sometimes you have to wait for parking but it’s worth it. Handicapped accessible.
Great location! Extremely close to the 495 and Northern State Parkway.“

“The donuts are the average expected DD donuts ?. The iced coffee was really goof. I asked them to make it sweet and it was perfect. The service was so so... I literally stood at the counter and was completely ignored for quite a few minutes while 5 employees stood around and spoke with each other in a language I didn't understand. Was a little awkward tbh but it's just DD!!! ?

Parking: Parking lot is fairly tight and limited spots available.“

“I would’ve gave it a 5 star but for the past few times I’ve went the coffee tasted sour. I’m pretty sure it was the milk was sour in the frozen coffee but in general, they used to have great coffee. I’m still gonna give them a chance though because I believe that everyone has bad days. Hopefully the next coffee will be good, but I also got an egg and cheese croissant with hash-browns which tasted great so it’s just the coffee. Otherwise, a very good place.“

“Love this place. They have La Colombe coffee drinks which are excellent, and a variety of fresh baked pastries and hearty filled croissants plus fresh pressed juice bottles and immunity drinks etc.

The vibe is very refreshing for the area and feels like something straight out of LA or Brooklyn with floor to ceiling windows and a special area in the side room for dogs and people to hang. Extra props for the compostable straws.“

“I was in the area needed coffee and almost went to Starbucks but saw this super cute coffee shop and I decided to try it. I made the best decision ..the energy, the pastries (my 2 year old son LOVED the coconut brownie and almond pastry) and the coffee was amazing! The owner was SUPER SUPER nice!! “Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“I love this place!!! I come here to get my work done on my laptop and I love the fact that they have cozy couches & armchairs besides regular chairs for long term sitting (They have Wi-Fi). So cozy, comfortable and inviting. The staff is super friendly and they make good drinks! (I love their Chai Latte and Iced/Hot Peach Coconut Matcha Latte). They have really chill music too (indie rock/60s rock/Radiohead etc.). They also have live music events with performers and bands on certain days, where the locals join in and show support. They have a selection of food as well (BLT, Avocado Toast, Muffins, Cookies, Scones and more). Overall, great service, good food & drinks and very nice atmosphere!!“
