“I always want to support new, local businesses, so I've been here twice since it opened. The location is great, the interior is nice, and the staff is certainly friendly enough. The only real problem is the service. The infrastructure doesn't support the volume of business that this shop is attracting. Waiting 20+ minutes for a simple ice coffee doesn't cut it, especially at the high prices that I know they have to charge in order to afford the rent in Roslyn Village. They don't really have the space for more coffee making equipment, so perhaps the solution is that enough people will eventually avoid the long wait and take their business elsewhere, thus decreasing demand and wait times. Not my preferred solution, but we'll see where it goes!“

But the man who picked up the phone was very nice and knowledgeable or the area and was able to help me find the place and I finally got my coffee after 25 mins of being lost! “Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“Tried the cinnamon bun latte on my first visit and loved it! Tiffany, the barista, was so friendly and enthusiastic, taking the time to explain the menu and share her personal favorites. I also noticed how kind and welcoming she was with every customer, not just me. Her customer service impressed me so much that I returned the very next day! The cookie butter latte was delicious, and the ciabatta panini was fresh and full of flavor. Tiffany recognized me and was just as sweet and accommodating as the day before. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu, but especially to see Tiffany! It’s rare to find someone who genuinely loves what they do, and her warmth, positive energy, and constant smile make all the difference. She’s truly an asset to this business! ☕💚“

Grey cafe is very cozy and it’s a great option if you want to study.“

“Really great local spot and definitely worth checking out. It’s a family-run coffee and pastry shop with a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to sit down, relax, and enjoy your time there.

The pastries are fresh and there’s a great variety to choose from. They also have a great drink selection ranging from everything from well-made coffee, matcha, teas, and refreshers, so there’s something for pretty much everyone.

What stood out to me just as much as the food and drinks was the service. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The whole place has a comfortable, cozy vibe without feeling overly crowded or rushed.

“Went to cha er adda 2 days ago. Loved their bhelpuri. I can assure this is the best bhelpuri in nyc. Noor was our server, she’s the best. The way she was doing everything all alone was marvelous. She’s definitely a keeper. But I would recommend to do the malai cha a little better. Also wanted to try their Choto but it wasn’t ready by then so will definitely comeback to try the Chotpoti. “Just went to Greek City Grille and ordered the chicken souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and the lemon potatoes were absolutely amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and the place was so clean and decorated beautifully. Will definitely be coming back!“

“We stopped here randomly on our way back from the Hamptons to New Jersey and we had one of the best service experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. Our server was personally invested in making sure we had the best experience in any restaurant ever!

The menu is all Indian with lots of non-veg and vegetarian options. They offered to customize anything on the menu we wished for and made food without onion garlic for me. The food was very fresh and tasty. We ordered Alleppey fish curry and Palak Paneer with Kerala Poratta. Rice was complimentary.

I tried the Brownie cookie today which was made there this morning by Guadalupe from scratch. I savored every decadent morsel! Sandwiches are yummy. Valentina, the owner, is terrific!
