“My friends and I agreed that this was one of the best experiences we have ever had eating at a Chinese restaurant. The food was amazing - I especially loved the sesame chicken as it was sweet and flavorful, and the fried dumplings which were crunchy and savory. The restaurant also has a great authentic atmosphere, the service is fantastic and the staff is super friendly!

“This place is a gem! Super lovely staff, clean, smells amazing inside, nice vibes. Went for lunch and got the sushi special to split with my husband-it was some of the best sushi I’ve had in recent memory. The salmon sashimi was especially amazing. We are visiting from out of town and I’m sad we aren’t staying longer so we can come back here-their menu is extensive and everything looks delicious!“

“We drive from Ithaca for take away. This is the freshest, tastiest Chinese food just like the previous comment says “in the Finger Lakes” we happened to be in The cCortland area hitting Tag Sales& Thrifty. My husband is ordering our dinner as I type. We are vegetarian & Love the sesame tofu & Buddhist delight!! Crisp beautiful veggie eggrolls. And our food is still HOT when we get to Ithaca. I just wish they had garlic eggplant!!“

“We tried the Hand-Ripped Noodles (Biang Biang Noodles) with Braised Beef here, and the dish was absolutely delicious! The noodles were super fresh, and we asked for extra spicy — it was perfect 🔥. We also added a soy egg, which was a great choice. My husband and I both loved it so much. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic Xi’an street food!“

“The restaurant appeared clean, service was swift, everyone was kind, and the food was what I was hoping for. It was the least "ketchup-y" sweet and sour chicken we've had since moving to CNY. All of our chicken in both that and the chicken and broccoli was a good texture, too. The lo mein noodles were very large, there were not many veggies in them. Other than that, no complaints! Thank you!“

“Lovely and sweet married couple make the best beef sandwiches & buns ever. The flavor & texture of the beef against those of the bread are the most comforting sensations I've had in Ithaca!

Vegetarian options: Noodles are the best bet. The bread part minus the meat would be a safe option too for vegetarians.

Parking: Park on South Geneva Street for free parking.

“A good place to grab a quick lunch in college town. You can order individual items or do bento boxes or build your own plates. I ordered General Tso’s Chicken bento which came with miso soup, rice, dumplings and kani salad (you can also do seaweed salad).
The portion was large enough for two meals and the service was quick.“

“Looked for another restaurant and couldn't find a space to park and had to dodge the Ithaca's College crowd. We looked and finally on side street, I looked up Google for other restaurants and this one came up. Following the prompts, we arrived at this restaurant. We walked in and were seated where we wanted to, very nice as one of us wanted a table (for easier dining). The General Tao's was so flavorful! Items here I have not seen in Rochester area China buffets. Sushi was great, egg drop soup was excellent. I wish this place were closer!

The food is well spiced and actually spicy!! Please come if you like real Korean or Chinese food. It’s a comfort spot for sure! Jayook Kimchi is my fav dish here.“

“Ordered food through door dash delivery. It seemed as if the Chinese food place itself performed the delivery. The Door Dash app was never updated on when my order was being delivered. However, when the man who delivered my order arrived he called me to come get my order. I told him he could leave it on the porch, but he insisted he would wait for me to come down. It was very considerate because he just didn't want my order to get stolen before i got to it. 10/10 service.

as for wait time, I'd say it took around 30-35 minutes for my order to arrive. I forgot to snap any pics before chowing down lol but I will say all the portion sizes were good and the food was delicious. I ordered pork dumplings, and the noodle was cooked to perfection. It had a very nice texture, and the meat inside was juicy and flavorful. The chicken and broccoli were very good, and so was the chicken lomein. 😼 The crab Rangoons had a really nice flavor, but the filling was strangely thick, not bad, just not what I'm used to. I'd recommend them for sure.“

“Detasty is a great place in collegetown, they have good chinese food but at a bit of a price. Do remember I compare these with Indonesian restaurants which have crazy low prices. Try the chilli fried pork/chicken. The food here actually has spice for spicy food lovers“
