“My companion and I had dinner at Placid Pines earlier this week. I ordered the Reuben Grill sandwich and he had the Open-Faced Hot Roast Beef sandwich. Both were excellent. The corned beef in my Reuben was very lean and delicious, as was his roast beef. We both had the pumpkin crunch cheesecake for dessert, which was also very good. For a small pub like Placid Pines to serve such delicious food is a testament to their chef and kitchen staff.”

When we got the food it wasn't bad but expected alittle better for the price. Food was luke warm. Only got two pieces of broccoli, no bread or rolls. Salad was good.”

“We went to the Southern Vermont Craft Festival yesterday and were getting a blueberry lemonade, I mentioned I never had street corn and my husband said get one. Managers Marie & Renee took great care of us and our sever Taylor was doll the bartenders were Very accommodating! The outside view with a fire pit topped it all off had the best time. “I ordered 2 chef salads for take out. I also ordered extra salad dressings. When I picked my order up the girl behind the counter was cheerful and so friendly. She showed me everything in the bag .I also received 2 salad dressings Extra and a fresh loaf of delicious bread . The salads were huge and absolutely the best we have had . “ADK nachos were super good!! My husband got the steak and loved it. I did half a chicken with homemade bbq sauce, sweet potato fries and Mac n cheese. Chicken and fries were soooo good. I found the Mac n cheese to be bland but I think that’s the style if you were to pile on something bbq flavored then it would have been better. On its own it wasn’t my taste but everything else was very good. Can’t wait to go back next trip to Lake George!”
