“Beautiful brewery, fun beer selection and - holy crow - some of the best cheese curds we’ve discovered on our many adventures. The staff was super friendly and loved sharing some history of the place (as well as some fun stories about trips to Montreal back in the day). My teacher boyfriend was so excited to check out the brewery since it was started by former teachers. Very special for him.We had a great time and would highly recommend!“

“Went here prior to a concert at Cohoes Music Hall. Service was A+. I ordered a small pizza and it knocked my socks off. One of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! Beer was great too. Best part is never having to "look" or "waive down" your server...they were beyond attentive. Even on a weekend night. Great local biz“

“Visited this distillery as part of a birthday weekend celebration. The tour and tasting was super fun and very informative. Wish we lived closer so we could visit again as the bar area has a great vibe and would be a great place to spend a few hours on the weekend. Highly recommend the tour or just an afternoon/eve visit!“

Mean Max Brew Works Troy Taproom Bar • $
251 River St ste 102, Troy - 9.62 miles

“Place was dead when it first opened at 12 on a Saturday, but I can imagine that it gets quite lively later in the day/night. There was a good variety of beers. Personally, I'm a sour girlie and appreciate any Gose or Sour beer that I can find so I was pleasantly surprised that there were actually 2 on the menu for me to try. Friendly staff, too, and some entertainment on the TV. You can bring your own food. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but maybe there's some spot nearby we didn't know of that would have been better than street parking“

The Real McCoy Beer Co. Brewery • $$
28 Washington St, Ballston Spa - 11.27 miles

“As the birthplace of Abner Doubleday it has a great backstory, right off the bat (pun intended). I think the beer is great and you can't beat the unique atmosphere. And, although I've only been there a handful of times, the owner remembered my name on my last visit which is impressive! I enjoy it whenever I have a chance to go, wish I was able to go more often. And once the ghost turned the overhead light off for us the moment we stood up to leave, so the living and the undead are all very accommodating.“

“This place is great. Excellent food and great service. Not over priced but not cheap. They really did a great job with eat in the street. Too bad Cohoes limited that so much because it was a great thing for Cohoes restaurants. Definitely my go to on Remsen St.“
