“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. “On a Saturday night, I decided to visit a restaurant that I had heard great things about. To my surprise, the restaurant was nearly empty, but it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.

The service was top-notch. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. It's no wonder that they have a 4.9-star rating – they truly deserve it.

For appetizers, we ordered the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and had a delightful kick reminiscent of Peruvian ceviche. We also tried the avocado crab salad, which had a unique and fantastic flavor profile. There was another appetizer, the name of which I can't recall, but I absolutely loved it.

When it came to our entrees, I sought a recommendation from our server who suggested the duck. It was an excellent choice – the duck was absolutely delicious. My partner opted for a lobster dish with sweet corn puree that was truly divine.

We couldn't resist trying a dessert, so we ordered the napoleon. Let me tell you, you HAVE to try it! It was simply amazing, and I still find myself dreaming about it.

Great music and atmosphere. They charge a very low and reasonable space rental fee, and we had more than enough space for our 40 guests. So many options for drinks including all of their beers, wine and soda. We were even allowed to bring in our own food at no charge. And decorate the space how we liked. Bartenders there were sooo helpful, friendly, and were able to help with all requests. Highly recommend for a relaxed party, or just an evening with some friends for a couple of drinks.
