“WOW! I grew up in this area and never really liked chinese takeout all that much. I guess I never really had good takeout because after ordering here, I can eat this every day! My boyfriend grew up in a city area and loved chinese but hated all the places he tried here. He was so happy that we found this hole in the wall. All the food we ordered was amazing but the boneless bbq spare ribs were just incredible. Really seemed like everything was homemade, not too greasy, and just fresh in general. This will now be my go to chinese takeout spot and I will definitely be getting it more. Bonus that they have the chinese donuts, those are the best!”

“The Farmhouse is a great family run establishment. Owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. Food is fresh and reasonably priced. Ice cream and shakes are great and restaurant is clean and decorated beautifully. Come for the Clam Bake in the summer and the cider donuts in the fall.”

“I met Luigi for the first time this weekend. He treated me like family, insisted I have a glass of wine while waiting for my order. We shared a little bit of life story with each other, and he sent me home with 2 desserts and the best pizza I have eaten in a while!! “I have been ordering from Vinny for years now. I lived in California, and now in North Carolina. Vinny's Marinara sauce is so good I have been having it shipped to me for years. There is no sauce that holds a candle to this. You can't buy anything remotely close to the sauce! And as always, it is a pleasure speaking to Vinny when I order. I just wish I lived close enough to get his food!!!!”

“The food is always delicious and the portions are huge! My only concern tonight was the waiters using foul language ( amongst themselves but loud enough that we could hear since it was very quiet in there when we went ) very unprofessional. . Then an elderly gentleman came in and requested a table for one not near the bar but the waiter told him the one table at the far end in the corner was for two people . It was early like 5:00 and almost nobody in there . What would’ve been the harm in placing him at that table ? He would’ve been done eating probably before it got too busy and he at least would have had some dignity instead of being sat behind the host station . That’s just poor taste in my opinion . Just thought it should be brought up for the future . Treat customers with respect and they will return .”

“What a cool place! Brings you the best NYC style street food (Hot dogs, sausage, knish, pretzel etc etc) plus you can get a beer or soda with it. Nicest, friendliest and helpful staff! And as an important added bonus...it's Veteran family owned & operated🇺🇸 Make sure you stop in when you are in the Carmel Hamlet NY area...You won't be disappointed.”

“Just had lunch here today and the food was delicious. We had the spicy Malaysian ramen, beef with noodles. Soup dumplings for an appetizer. We also got the Singapore mei fun and dumplings to go and everything was delicious! Flavors were spot on and we are very happy with the portions and quality !! Super clean restaurant, comfortable and cute interior and great customer service! Very authentic and flavors are close to the city type of Chinese food- if that’s what you’re looking for! We will definitely be back! Only feedback I can offer would be that the soup dumpling skin was a little thick for me but still tasty!”

“Had been looking for a good and more authentic mexican/latin restaurant being that I'm Mexican. Main street Cafe exceeded expectations. The food is delicious, the fresh made tortillas are exquisite, the beans and chorizo taste like in Mexico! Extensive dish selection and if something is not in the menu, the gracious staff accommodates and prepares. Highly recommend this restaurant! Can't beat the prices for the delicious and authentic food! Bravo!”
