“We moved off Long Island over 8 years ago and always loved la Parma when we lived here even though it was an hour drive for us to enjoy the amazing food. This time when we came up to visit for Christmas we knew we had to get there for a great dinner. I can easily say it still is one of the best places to get amazing Italian food around. The Chicken Napoli was phenomenal and there is nothing like their penne à la vodka! The drinks were great and service was top notch. We also happened to go the day after Christmas when we got lots of snow and the car valet even brushed off our car! We were so happy to not feel rushed because we were there with great friends and just really enjoying ourselves! We can’t wait to come back and visit from Georgia to have their food again!“

Food is always outstanding, timing is impeccable and one never feels rushed. Tight quarters, but it all runs like a well oiled machine. “Vauxhall has been one of our favorite places for a burger or the fried chicken sandwich. Yesterday, 5//7/24… we went for a late lunch. I decided to try the new Double Smash burger. It was by far, the best burger I’ve ever had. My wife had her usual, the fried chicken sandwich. We’ve never had anything but a great meal and drink at our favorite Huntington haunt.“

“This is the best sushi on Long Island, which is really saying something because there are many sushi places. It is also the most expensive sushi on the island I have experienced, so for me it's a rare treat. The two chefs are very friendly.

If you are looking to experience a sushi takeout experience less Americanized and more authentic to a hidden gem hole in the wall place somewhere in Asia- this is it. Just be sure to bring your wallet.“

Yes, because I tried the massaman brisket and was not impressed. Flavorful, but the cuts of beef where large cubes of chuck like stew meat! This was a gamble and I lost, but the standard menu is all good and reasonably priced. Parking can be a problem.“

“I’m a breakfast snob and I can say without question that Torkel’s Galley is first rate! The breakfast was one of the best that I have ever had. Cooked to perfection, the eggs, potatoes and bacon will be a memorable meal for a long time. The decor brought back fond memories of the old days of Halesite I only wish I lived closer to Halesite to frequent the Galley more often. I should note that I knew Torkel Knutson and his siblings back when I grew up on Huntington Harbor in the 50s and 60s. It was great to see him doing so well.“

“Found this spot on lunch from school and it was the perfect place to eat! A cozy small restaurant with great service and fresh food. The service was quick with enough time for me to take my lunch between class. The clear soup came out hot and fresh with beautiful tasty mushrooms. We got the sushi for 2. It had great variety and perfect portion size. Yum! I was very surprised to find this spot and will be coming back! Would be a cute, calm date night spot or for a night out with a small group of friends“

“We enjoyed a steak dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. the steaks were perfectly cooked and the special salads of the day were quite nice. We enjoyed a glass of chilled Reisling wine. The ambience was very interesting. It looked like it existed during the days of Prohibition when liquor was made undercover & underground. I always go for the refried bean tacos because the flavor is 10/10, though I do wish they’d load them up with a few more beans sometimes! It’s also a perfect family spot; my daughter is obsessed with the kids' quesadilla and fries, and it looks so good that I’m always low-key jealous of her plate.
