“You know exactly what you're getting when you come in here by appearance alone. Awards from 20 years ago, menus on the wall... It's the classic Chinese-American spot.

I've gotten a dozen different things here, and every time they've been unfailingly cheap, fast and delicious.“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

The flavors dance on my tongue like a beautiful ballet and my mouth is enveloped in heavenly textures. I seriously recommend this to EVERYONE. “Decided to stop by after driving by on my way home from work. I have often passed this location and wanted to stop by and I am glad I did. I was drawn in by the inviting decor and clean interior. Cuisine is tasty traditional Chinese served in a contemporary setting. I opted for take out as I was on my way home but will definitely dine in to enjoy the sit down experience next time. I took home their sesame tofu with white rice. Takeout is carefully packaged and prepared with the diner in mind. (A much appreciated upgrade from typical restaurants that just throw your dish in a container and toss it in a bag for you.) “I ordered shrimp with broccoli from East Bamboo Chinese Restaurant and was very disappointed. The broccoli and sauce were very bland, and the shrimp tasted bad and seemed spoiled. I called the restaurant to let them know, but they told me the chef said the shrimp was fresh. Unfortunately, based on the taste, that was not my experience at all. Overall, the food quality was poor, and I would not order from them again.“

“Relaxing dining atmosphere with friendly staffs. There was no wait on Friday night, food came out quick, and portion was reasonable size. The Hunan Chicken was so so but soup dumpling and lobster creamy soup was great. Would come back again and good for large party size.“

“This is the most horrible restaurant place I've ever ordered from. I ordered and picked up in store. I ordered "Roast Pork with Chinese vegetables" I specifically asked if the vegetables included bok choy and was assured that it did. When I got home with the food the only vegetable included with the Pork was celery. Just a container of pork and celery, another time I ordered BBQ Ribs and it was a very small order and some of them were burned. When I questioned the counter person he answered that they had run out. Then why did they sell, and charge me an order? Don't order food from this place, If you want to enjoy it, it is BAD and they.“

“This tiny Chinese takeout joint was pleasantly surprised!! Menu offers fried rice made to orders, i requested no salt or soysauce, the veg fried rice turned out delish!! Even plain fried rice with nothing but oil was yumm! Chefs were hard at work, phone orders were constantly ringing!! Thankful this restaurant takes card payments!! “After years of eating at all the local spots (Bamboo Garden, Peking, and New Great Wall) I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in White Plains. The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). My wife, who usually gets headaches when MSG is used, had no issues here, which says a lot. Just a heads up that it’s cash only and they don’t deliver, but honestly, that’s no big deal when you can eat this well without it costing an arm and a leg!“

“I always order from your establishment. The food is delicious. However, tonight I ordered through beyond menu and placed and order to be delivered at 7pm. I called the restaurant around 730pm.. The woman that was there answered the phone and apologized saying” She never saw the order and the food will be made right away. I wound up showing up to pick up the food. The woman at the front counter was the same woman that answered the phone. She was beyond disgusting and rude to another customer. Telling this customer she didn’t pay and her card had to be charged. Then she starts talking to me and I showed her that I paid. She told me “I wasn’t talking to you.” I responded with “There is no reason for you to be nasty!” She responded with “ We are very busy.” Then a tall man proceeded to hand me the food I ordered. She said something me and once again I turned around and responded “Learn to talk to people, there is no reason for you to be nasty!” I walked out with the food.I do not care if there is a line out the door or you are busy. There is no reason for someone to disgustingly nasty and rude!“

Price is still amazing for lunch deals around $8~$12, portions are generous, and ultimately foods are great.

“This Chinese takeout was close to pier in West Nyack, parking lot was huge for a handful of shops, easily accommodate 50+ cars with shaded trees and full sun!! Liked the chicken lomein, requested easy sauce since Chinese food can be salty/ soysauce dark/ red spicy which didn't prefer. Lomein was sweet and tasty with shredded chicken, nappa cabbage, carrots, and mushrooms, very appetizingly fragrant. Restaurant accepts Zelle payment if no cash!! Would recommend and return again!“

“Actually amazing. I'm a chef down in the city at a Michelin place, and this was the best Chinese takeout I've had in awhile.I peeped their ingredients and everything was fresh. Bright green veggies, even the scallions that the cooks garnished on the plates.The meat didn't have the typical freezer burn taste.Even the rice was plump as if expertly cooked in a fancy overpriced Manhattan place.The service... The solo cook was handling everything but took the time to even clear a table for my group among the boxes of supplies and hand delivered all the food. Even asked if everything was ok.When I asked for hot sauce, he gave me the legit chili sauce you find in Chinese supermarkets.This is the type of place that is a regional hidden gem. However, we were pleasantly surprised with not only the taste and quality of the food, but with cozy atmosphere and warm service. We ordered the hunan chicken, dumplings, salt n pepper prawns and lo mein, and everything was spot on.. They served a dip with their dumplings which nothing like we had ever tasted before, yummy food!“
