“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“I go every Monday with my husband , we love this place , the front guy desk with glasses I don’t know his name but he is so amazing he is one of the kind me and my husband loves going there because of how he is treating us nice and good customer service , my husband is a police officer and I’m a teacher so we only get 1 once a week to go on a date and every week on Monday we go to curry N wok because it’s so awesome , the food so amazing too , customer service amazing , I love the DoSa , pakora with their amazing tea , also their sambar Veda super super amazing , this place it’s my go to . After a short time they started to dip down in the consistency of the food...So we stopped ordering from them for quite some time. “I ordered shrimp with broccoli from East Bamboo Chinese Restaurant and was very disappointed. The broccoli and sauce were very bland, and the shrimp tasted bad and seemed spoiled. I called the restaurant to let them know, but they told me the chef said the shrimp was fresh. Unfortunately, based on the taste, that was not my experience at all. Overall, the food quality was poor, and I would not order from them again.“

“Extremely delicious and authentic Chinese food. As a white person who grew up in Fuzhou, China, this place instantly reminded me of my hometown. The flavors dance on my tongue like a beautiful ballet and my mouth is enveloped in heavenly textures. I seriously recommend this to EVERYONE. As someone who is currently living in Flushing, Queens, I drive to here every week with my wife and two kids. One time my kid didn't like the water the restaurant served, so of course I had to use the kung fu I learned to discipline them. Anyhow, this has to be the best restaurant on Earth. “This is the most horrible restaurant place I've ever ordered from. I ordered and picked up in store. I ordered "Roast Pork with Chinese vegetables" I specifically asked if the vegetables included bok choy and was assured that it did. When I got home with the food the only vegetable included with the Pork was celery. Just a container of pork and celery, another time I ordered BBQ Ribs and it was a very small order and some of them were burned. When I questioned the counter person he answered that they had run out. Then why did they sell, and charge me an order? Don't order food from this place, If you want to enjoy it, it is BAD and they.“

“After years of eating at all the local spots (Bamboo Garden, Peking, and New Great Wall) I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in White Plains. The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). My wife, who usually gets headaches when MSG is used, had no issues here, which says a lot. Just a heads up that it’s cash only and they don’t deliver, but honestly, that’s no big deal when you can eat this well without it costing an arm and a leg!“

“Ordered take out. Was looking for a great tasting sesame chicken made with white meat. Saw the reviews online and took a chance because so far the Asian restaurants I’ve been to do not make DELICIOUS sesame chicken. This place did not let me down. The sesame chicken was so delicious! I was so happy! This is, now, my go to place for sesame chicken. I didn’t like the dumplings. They were very doughy and chewy. No good. Next time I’ll order the Gyoza. Maybe that’s not doughy. I’ll try the fried rice too and see how that goes. But for sure I’ll be coming back!“

“This place has been a solid part of yonkers for as long as I can remember.
The food is always on point whether it's the sushi or the Chinese food.
The soups are great as are the entrees and the prices although they have gone up a bit are still fantastic.
The place is dated if you go inside. It still looks like the 1980s in there and I expect to see an IROC blasting up central avenue and a bunch of guidos wearing cavariccis and reeking of drakar hanging out the window.... But I digress.

Bright green veggies, even the scallions that the cooks garnished on the plates.The meat didn't have the typical freezer burn taste.Even the rice was plump as if expertly cooked in a fancy overpriced Manhattan place.The service... The solo cook was handling everything but took the time to even clear a table for my group among the boxes of supplies and hand delivered all the food. Even asked if everything was ok.When I asked for hot sauce, he gave me the legit chili sauce you find in Chinese supermarkets.This is the type of place that is a regional hidden gem. “I recently tried out this Chinese restaurant and was pleasantly surprised! Their Singapore Mei Fun was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor—you can really taste the cumin and other spices — the spice from the noodles even cleared my sinuses without being overpowering.The pork fried rice was also great, with a nice balance of flavor and none of the greasy aftertaste you sometimes get from other places. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable. Definitely a place I’ll be ordering from again!“
