“This is simply a nice take-out Chinese food restaurant. The food is good and priced well compared to some new fancy places (pretending they are more) that have the same food. Service is quick and the staff is nice. If you want some good Chinese takeout, this place is solid. You won’t be disappointed.“

“I love the food! The lady there so so nice! The food here is so good my socks fell off! The place is very clean, the lady always cleans after a customer leaves a mess. I always order their lo mein and it’s so fantastic it’s one of my favorite dishes here. As well as the sesame chicken, so flavorful and way better than the other Chinese restaurant in town. (New China) Their sesame chicken is just liquid for sauce and doesn’t stick to the chicken. New China’s sesame chicken is so bad I threw it out and came here instead. It was way better than New China the chicken was so fresh and warm and the sauce was so good and thick and actually sticked on to the chicken. I really enjoy their fried rice I have no idea what they put in there but my taste buds were in heaven! Their fried chicken is so hot and steamy I hear a crunch every time I take a bite, it was so satisfying. I also had their dumplings and the flavors were melting on my tongue, there was so much flavor in one bite and it was so warm the sauce was so delicious. The spring rolls were spectacular also very crunchy and yummy I could eat them all day long! Their broccoli chicken is so juicy and saucy I love to have it with there white rice. Their white rice is so fluffy I was like a cloud on my plate, the rice here is one of the best rice I’ve had in my life when I get Chinese takeout. Their food here is such a good price since I had enough for my whole family. It was so much food we had some for the next day! My kids were so happy with what they ate and wanted me to buy more. I always come here with my family. It’s the best Chinese takeout in town. The food is so good I ate so much that I was gasping for air! Overall I absolutely love this place I will always order my Chinese takeout here. The food is absolutely perfect and couldn’t get any better from here! They have so many options of food I can never decide wha to eat when I come here because I know every bite of any food I get will be super delicious. If you don’t eat here your taste buds are dying and you need to get it checked.“

“Tried this Chinese spot for the first time today and it was amazing! We got the chicken and broccoli with chicken lo mein combo, an egg roll, and beef fried dumplings. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just hit the spot. The dumplings were perfectly crispy and juicy inside, and the lo mein was seasoned well without being greasy. Great comfort food for a rainy night in — will definitely be ordering again!“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

So I’m going to come back in a month or two see if anything has No adult drinks they don’t have they license yet. But over all the food was good & I enjoyed myself“

“After years of eating at all the local spots (Bamboo Garden, Peking, and New Great Wall) I can honestly say this is the BEST Chinese food I’ve had in White Plains. The extra drive is absolutely worth it. Portions are “old school” big, prices run about $2 to $3 less than other places, and they always throw in something extra for free. The egg rolls taste just like the ones you remember as a kid, and the boneless spare ribs were superb (IMO). My wife, who usually gets headaches when MSG is used, had no issues here, which says a lot. Just a heads up that it’s cash only and they don’t deliver, but honestly, that’s no big deal when you can eat this well without it costing an arm and a leg!“

The sesame chicken had generous chunks of chicken with just the right amount of batter, it was perfectly made. “I remember when Szechuan City first opened how exciting it was to have some new Chinese food in the area. New owners, new ideas, new recipes...all great...for a while at least. After a short time they started to dip down in the consistency of the food...So we stopped ordering from them for quite some time. A little while ago we tried ordering again because we had some workers over helping out in the yard and they chose Chinese as the flavor profile for lunch. Wouldn't you know it...the food was excellent and everyone had great reviews, including us. Happy to say we are back to ordering from them again. “Hadn't been there since 2016 possibly when I moved away from the area in 2017 still got the same day service the same hostess was there and everything was wonderful I told them where I was and we reminisced and had a great time and hey the food is still the same as it was back then no changes next time in the area hope you have more money so I can buy more food to bring up to where I live I'm in the mountains where the options are limited and few. “This place used to be an old bar that was dingy, damp and depressing but not Mister Chen has really turned that place into a thriving environment. Food is really good and would certainly recommend all of their dim sum, the boneless spare ribs and the house fried rice with pineapple.“

“I had the oyster sushi (tasty) and the beef chow fun. The chow fun packed salt but that's fine considering they gave a whole thing or soy sauce next to it. Wish they had a lunch menu but the food is decently priced as is and has a wide selection.“

At the moment, the kitchen appears to be a family operation with one prepping and one cooking. Walk-in orders are coming out as quickly as before.

The quality of the food is very good, fresh. Some have commented that the taste is different, which comes down to the oil. The previous owners relied heavily on a specific vegetable oil when flash frying. Customers became used to the oil taste. The current food has far less/no vegetable oil flavor which I prefer.

I have been here several times, and the food was the same every times; fresh, and the portions are very good.

“This is the most horrible restaurant place I've ever ordered from. I ordered and picked up in store. I ordered "Roast Pork with Chinese vegetables" I specifically asked if the vegetables included bok choy and was assured that it did. When I got home with the food the only vegetable included with the Pork was celery. Just a container of pork and celery, another time I ordered BBQ Ribs and it was a very small order and some of them were burned. When I questioned the counter person he answered that they had run out. Then why did they sell, and charge me an order? Don't order food from this place, If you want to enjoy it, it is BAD and they.“

The tofu lettuce cups, Szechuan dumplings, scallion pancakes, and bamboo-fired fish are absolute must-tries. And definitely ask for extra dumpling sauce—it’s amazing for dipping the fish!
