“Cool venue, but the food is not 5 stars, except for the Roasted Hen of the Woods and the Wild Mushroom Slippery Noodle (outstanding). For example, the Fried Chicken Dumplings are VERY fried, creating a hard crust that overwhelms whatever little stuffing there is. The Smoked Salmon Fried Rice, was meh, with just enough salmon bits to call the dish "salmon." The braised duck Bao had bits of bone in the meat. It's a cool venue, but based on reviews, I had higher expectations.Four other things need addressing. $0.50 added to each dish and mentioned on the menu, about using that money for "cooks and porters." That should be a management decision and does not have to shared with diners. It's not for the money...it's a distraction to the experience of dining out. The alcoholic drinks are about $12 (way too high) and there are no ice tea refills, so I ended up paying $15 for 3 glasses of ice tea. The service is too fast, clearing dishes the moment you are done and removing dishes of other diners while one diner is still eating. That creates a sense of stress. Finally, there is no signage on the property as to where the restaurant is, so many, wonder about looking for it.“

“So impressed with the delicious food and beautiful presentation. My husband loved the Veggie Pakoras and the Masala Dosa. The waiter was very friendly and made note to not use ghee on the Coconut Naan and Masala Dosa when my husband told him he is vegan. I loved the Tandoori Chicken, best I've tasted and so tender! We look forward to trying other dishes from their extensive menu on our next visit.“

“Bardonia Oriental is consistently our favorite go-to place for Chinese food. The chicken is most often quite delicious and tender, regardless of the dish that it's placed with. I'm most often preferred chicken with broccoli however I had chicken with Chinese vegetables last night and found it to be absolutely scrumptious! The beef with snow peas is delicious as well. One of our dear friends is Chinese and she refuses to eat Chinese food anywhere but there if that's any indication of the quality of their food. The egg rolls can be hit or miss at times having so much grease they're impossible to consume and other times being so delicious I would eat multiples if I had them! There thick Chinese noodles are rarely greasy and always delicious especially with duck sauce. We prefer the mustard that comes in a container to the hot sauce in a package. I would not recommend requesting sauce on the side as I have done a times because somehow the chicken and broccoli become overdone. Overall, as I've said there isn't any other Chinese restaurant in Rockland County that has earned my respect and is much repeat business as Bardonia Oriental. I forgot to mention how much we enjoyed the crab with cream cheese appetizer! They are very good at following specific orders so if you like your vegetables al dente to preserve the nutrients and simply let them know how long you would like to cook it the vegetables. Otherwise the broccoli tends to be somewhat soggy. With a little bit of accommodation and finagling and won't improved consistency for the egg rolls, I would delightfully add the extra star all the way! If you would like your vegetables to preserve maximum nutritional value, I would recommend requesting them to be a little hard. And definitely not mushy.“

“Great place for two or the fam and even a party of 20! First time my family and I came to this place. We waited like 15 min instead of the 30 the waiter said we would wait and then we were seated. Like any other food buffet, we ate and we ate and we ate! Wow the food was so good! It was fresh and tasty! The waiters always make sure everything is clean and the food is hot. The ambiance is nice with the colored lights and beautiful painted ceilings. The bathroom is a big one for me but surprisingly it was super clean! So good job!!! The variety of food is crazy! It’s my daughter’s birthday and I let the waiter know and she was so nice to get her a cupcake with a candle that she was able to blow out , take a pic and feel special. “Fast easy cheap meal, can’t go wrong with Chinese takeout. Parking is a little tough without a lot. But location is good. There was not a problem ordering the food.The brown sauce was a little light on the flavor. The pepper steak was good, guess when they add the oyster sauce into the brown sauce made it better. “I always order from your establishment. The food is delicious. However, tonight I ordered through beyond menu and placed and order to be delivered at 7pm. I called the restaurant around 730pm.. The woman that was there answered the phone and apologized saying” She never saw the order and the food will be made right away. I wound up showing up to pick up the food. The woman at the front counter was the same woman that answered the phone. She was beyond disgusting and rude to another customer. Telling this customer she didn’t pay and her card had to be charged. Then she starts talking to me and I showed her that I paid. She told me “I wasn’t talking to you.” I responded with “There is no reason for you to be nasty!” She responded with “ We are very busy.” Then a tall man proceeded to hand me the food I ordered. She said something me and once again I turned around and responded “Learn to talk to people, there is no reason for you to be nasty!” I walked out with the food.I do not care if there is a line out the door or you are busy. There is no reason for someone to disgustingly nasty and rude!“

Had dinner with my family, my daughter ordered shrimp fried rice, my wife had Mei fun noodles while I ordered the yellow curry tofu. We all also shared sushi rolls, sashimi and hand rolled sushi. My curry dish was amazing just as good as if I had it at a Thai only restaurant. My daughter said the best fried rice she’s had and the same with my wife’s noodle dish. So was the dumping sauce and home made hot mustard. BBQ spare ribs were delicious and super size. House fried rice was like home made, so was everything we ordered actually, even the egg roll. “I came here during the weekday for lunch. I chose the 3 roll maki lunch special ($14.99)l. They also have 2 roll for $11.99 the Lunch special's included miso soup and salad with that yummy dressing. All very good! There was a table with about 6 people seated just before me. I was afraid it would take to long to get my order but I got it a fairly quickly. I had enough time within the hour lunch break to casually eat my lunch and make it back to work. Service was quick and attentive. Lunch prices are fair and most importantly food was very good! This review is for the sushi only. Interior was a little dark at first,but nicely decorated, but it was a very hot day and the ac was blasting which was very welcomed. There's a flat screen tv on.I would come back again; lunch menu has many choices to choose from. Recommended!“
