Great portion sizes, fed 3 adults over 2 days, food was delicious & fantastic, boneless ribs I wasn't a big fan of as it was a bit chewy. The sandwich was delicious even though it was what we ordered, and when we told management, they handled the situation beautifully! “They're a fairly new business at this location (a few months) and the woman I've interacted with has been friendly, professional, and accommodating each time I've been there so far -- I hope she remains that way because people do notice and consider it when they decide whether to patronize places, which is why I've returned multiple times. The food is pretty much the same as I've had at other locations. I only took off one star because: 1) I usually just get chicken but will try new menu items now and then and the fried shrimp had way too much (actually was mainly) batter; and 2) I didn't observe anything really bad happen with the food, but they should just be mindful about placing exposed food too close to where customers (or they themselves) can stand or have conversations, or letting it sit out exposed for too long (for quality rather than health reasons; again, no one reading this should be too alarmed -- I did NOT see anything significantly bad happen with the food, and the type of food I'm talking about has a somewhat low health risk).“

“I am a vegetarian person who doesn't cook any meat nor boil eggs at home. I have a small puppy at home. I requested them to make me some boiled mince lamb with only tumeric for my puppy which they did give me even though they dont make it for pets. It was made w/o any spices,it was just plain boiled lamb with some tumeric.My puppy really enjoyed her meal. I really appreciate the helpful staff and the chef who went above n beyond to make my puppy happy. I always thought that they make only non vegetarian food but was surprised to see that they also make vegetarian food too. I am ordering Rajma chawal along with some chaats for me today. “My deceased mother introduced me to Maxine's over 25 years ago. She LOVED the food! She often purchased meals from Maxine's at least twice a week. I believe these women respected my mother as well. I, too, grew to love the food and RESPECTED the hard working women (Maxine and her Co-worker) who ensured good tasting quality food! In addition, I had the services of this establishment prepare Sunday meals to be delivered to my Mom's home as a result of her experiences with Alzheimer's Disease in the last 4 years of her life! My mother and her Homecare Workers looked forward to these delicious Sunday meals. THANK GOD I was able to provide this service as a result of working as a retiree. At least 3X, when delivery was NOT available from Maxine's, Maxine brought the meals herself to Mom's home. I recommended wholeheartedly this business to as many people who were looking for a GREAT soulful meal to TAKEOUT. YESTERDAY, November 22, 2023, the day after my mother's birthday, I needed a piece of my mother! I had not engaged in purchasing food from Maxine's in a while. I ordered ahead of time for pickup. I took a cab! Once, I got there, I was told by Maxine's Co-worker that I had to wait in line like everyone else who DID NOT PLACE an order ahead of time. I wasn't there to JUMP the LINE or THINK myself better than anyone else! I asked everyone present before the Co-Worker appeared if they were waiting as a result of placing an order for Pickup. They stated they were not! The people who were WAITING for their food were VERY POLITE and UNDERSTOOD I had already placed an order. I am a Senior Citizen! The Co-Worker acted as if she NEVER knew me. This TREATMENT, after several years of ordering from her face to face. It HURT deeply! I have patronized and promoted businesses of African descent all my life! Maxine had the order ready. She had to inform the Co-Worker from the back that the meal was already prepared. However, I was NOT pleased with my meal upon arriving home to partake in it. A great deal of it appeared almost burnt. I spent $26.00 in carfare alone. OUR businesses MUST learn to RESPECT PEOPLE who WALK through their doors! You NEVER know what they are experiencing when they walk through your DOORS! GREAT FOOD is a MEANS of COMFORT to MANY, especially now! Based on my past experiences, I STILL give these women a high rating in HONOR of my mother. I LEARN lessons EVERYDAY and WORK HARD on IMPROVING my PEOPLE SKILLS as well. May WE learn to serve others with GLADNESS! May WE understand that ALL WORK is a result of the many talents bestowed upon us. Clearly, both of these women are GIFTED in what they do!“

“Something needs to be done with the orientation of the drive through. Maybe entry and exit directions reversed, that way the car queue can be from the less busy side of the area.I understand it's new york with less land mass, but a good operational process analysis and improvement can help. It's what I do for a living so maybe that's why it struck a cord with me. The staff and food were good, just the queue getting into the intersection and traffic light is more of a safety incident waiting to happen.“

“If you're picking up dinner, Grand Avenue in Baldwin is a great place to hit around 4-4:30. Not crowded, food is freshly prepared and I'm always greeted with a smile. Manager runs an excellent shift!!! Dining area is spotless, definitely well cleaned yo Covid19 standards. It was always well maintained, but you can clearly see they adhere to new stricter cleaning standards. Prices have gone up (what else is new, like everywhere else). There is no more 8 piece bucket specials, but occasionally there is an app deal which includes a free sandwich or once I bought a deal which included a drink in a soft storage pack. Nonetheless, it's worth the trip and the extra dollars!“
