“Best place to do your produce shopping. Fruit bowls are amazing, seasonal, fresh. They have fresh bread/rolls. They have bacon/eggs/milk/beer/candy/cheese/yogurt. They have an extensive selection of rice, mustard, mayo, ketchup, seasonings, kimchi, roasted red peppers, dried peppers, salad dressings. The place covers the bases and it is very reasonable. Lettuce, celery, onions, watercress, tomatoes, orange, onions, grapes avocados you name it they have it. All fresh and they have sales on produce that needs to be sold, so it'll be like a head of lettuce for .50 cents or 5 ripe tomatoes for a $1, or 3 peppers for $1 so check out the sale rack, especially if your making sausage and peppers that night or something. I go here once a week and gather my bounty. Super friendly staff and everything you need.“

Get one of their sandwiches (I recommend corned beef) and for about 12 bucks you have a fine lunch or dinner.“

“I was working locally and decided to grab lunch from Wheeler Deli after reading the reviews. The deli is smaller and quaint but has a large case of Boars Head meats, salads, and desserts. I ordered an American Hero, sides of macaroni salad, and potato salad, and a piece of the banana bread. They got right to making my order and the wait time was less than 5 minutes. My sandwich was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The salads were creamy and had great flavor. The banana bread was outstanding; dense and sweet and flavorful. The total for food and a drink was less than $25 which was a great value. I’ll be back.“

My only complaint is that I had Haitian Chicken over Rice, but the rice tasted unwashed ruining the dish (the chicken was still good). Other than that, I loved every other option. “The hot food here (Latin Food) is made fresh daily and it's pretty. You get a decent portion for 1 for $5. Breakfast sandwiches starting at $3 so you can't go wrong and the cold cut hero's are enormous to some really good brewed coffee. “Deli Boy makes great sandwiches. Very fresh and tasty ingredients. I only recently moved to the area so I have been to a few delis in the freeport Baldwin area. I would say that all my orders have been over the phone for pick up. Because of COVID I wont open rh e sandwhich but all of my sandwiches I have asked for cheese but everytime I get home .....there is none. Its my faukt though I know netter to watch my food being prepared and making sure all the ingredients are there. AI havent really fully enjoyed the sandwich becuae its missing a key ingredient. It hapoened again today. Gbey write the order down perfect on the ticjetbut the sandwich doesnt have evefything on it . All delicious but my favorite has to be the carnitas, and this is mostly because the owners wife makes the pork from pork shoulder and she's Dominican so she makes it as pernil which I grew up eating and it's my favorite rendition of pork. So it's fair to say that I've been here like 3 times in the past month and a half after finding this spot ? but it's bc in all honesty these are some of the best tacos in the area (Elmont/valley stream) and especially the best carnitas (pork) tacos in the area. We can try and compare other spots, but I promise you it's just your pride lol if we are talking Elmont this is the spot. Very authentic and the portions are crazy, I can throw down but I'm good with 4-5 tacos. Tbh once you go into 5-6 you're gonna be in the food baby territory of fullness, just get a Jarrito for the bevy and you'll be golden beloved.“
