“At first glance you see this taco truck but when you notice that the line is long it could only mean that the food is delicious and it was waiting about 7-10 min but they give you a pager so you can wait in your car or outside they do have seats to eat or wait right there at the location will be going back soon“

“I have been seeing such positive reviews about this place so my husband and I decided to finally try the place today! Absolutely amazing! The service was great from start to finish, the food was delicious. We arrived around 5:45 and it was pretty busy, definitely recommend making a reservation prior just to ensure a seat but we didn’t have to wait!

Drinks: I had both mocktails Guava-Coconut Water Refresher and the Floral Breeze(will have picture ) ( currently pregnant but very much looking forward to their margaritas!)

My husband ordered a Moscow mule but received something similar to an old fashioned which was no big deal because he still enjoyed the drink.

“A five-star experience at The Green Gem in Smithtown. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and authentic, and you can see that every dish is made completely from scratch in front of you. The flavors stood out in every bite, especially the chicken and steak tacos, zucchini pupusa, and fajitas.

This is a wonderful family-owned spot with genuinely kind people The restaurant itself was very clean and well kept, they wiped the grill down each time they made a dish and use gloves. The portions were generous, and everything was so delicious that we left completely stuffed and I still have enough for lunch the next day. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and freshness of the food. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. We ate outside in the enclosed garden patio thats beautiful with a dwarf tree and multi-urn step style water fountain. Dangling mirrored reflectors overhead on stringed lights keep birds away. Mexican music plays on the outdoor speaker system. Our table was visited by a mariachi suited mature guitarist that mesmerized my 22-month old grandson! Reasonably priced menu, will definitely be back!“

“the food was good, but they need a better air filter system the smell of burning isn't appealing while you eat. the place was clean, the servers were great. it was just another version of taco bell mixed with chipotle. but this is just my VYI's keeping it real view,we enjoyed the bowls, plenty of food in each. we will go back next month to try their salad.“

“This place is absolutely amazing. I came in just to grab a quick bite to eat but everything looks so delicious.

I don't know what they call it but I tried a cactus leaf and it was delicious. It has such a flavor that is similar to I guess an artichoke but also very different at the exact same time.

I had two chicken tacos and one chorizo. I love the fact that they have a bar where you can add as much salsa and toppings as you want.

So delicious.

“Amazing first time experience!! Parking was accessible at 5pm. Don't skip on table side guacamole!! I was able to order a strawberry mocktail margarita. Music was amazing. I felt at home (I'm Colombian) they had on cumbia. Food was amazing. I ordered arroz con pollo (chicken with rice) its good for 2 people. I took my leftovers. Definitely will come back.“

The young man should get a promotion he is very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and I saw him help a customer who was having car trouble in the parking lot and as he was walking back indies, picked up a wrapper that someone had dropped, ensuring the establishment is clean. You can tell he really cares about this place. There was another man who works here who also assisted the patron. It really shows that they are dedicated to customer service here and value their customers and take pride in their work.“

“Literally the greatest food I’ve ever eaten, ever. Full stop. I’ve been a loyal customer since high school, and through college, living overseas and living out of state, Gold Mine is a must visit whenever I’m in town. If I were about to be executed, my last meal would be: Cajun chicken quesadilla, chips with melted cheddar, lemon chip sauce, and Dave’s pico de gallo. A little guac and sour cream on the side but honestly the pico and lemon chip are more important. The food is SO good that guac is an afterthought. Usually guac is the first thing people consider when having Mexican. My biggest fear is that Dave will retire. I wish he’d write a cookbook. My only “complaint,” if you can call it that, is that it’s primarily a takeout joint, although there are tables and you’re totally welcome to sit there and eat. I’m a sucker for ambience and I’d happily pay top dollar for waitstaff and charm out the wazoo so I can sit there with friends and have a full dining experience. Regardless, none of this changes the fact that it’s the best food in the galaxy.“

Just be warned that the online ordering system on their website is not connected in store, they will not receive your order and you will have to re-order in store. “Each Mexican restaurant makes their dishes differently. I went with my family and we ordered a Cuban cake. They were different from other cakes I've tried. That's why he said it's different because the tacos are just as great as many I've tried.“

“I heard about this place from a friend and I decided to make the trip to see if it is worth the hype. Let me just tell you, it was sooo worth it! I live about three hours away from there, but after this experience, I would gladly make this drive again.

The moment I arrived, I was blown away by the atmosphere. There was good music playing, everyone was incredibly friendly, the energy was amazing, and even though there was a long line, the service was quick as I was able to get my food quickly.

Now, about the food, to me this was truly life changing. it's hard for me to find authentic flavorful Mexcian food where I live, this feels like finding a hidden gem. Every bite just made me want more. I loved it so much that I went back and placed a second order before leaving! (Had to take one for on the road!)

I'll definitely be returning every chance I get. Honsetly, they need to open a location closer to me because if I lived closer to them, you would see me there every day. If you are considering coming here, I'll tell you this: STOP THINKING ABOUT IT AND GO!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!“

“4 stars - It’s definitely a good place to eat and their burritos are pretty good and don’t leave you feeling bloated and disgusted with yourself. However, I’ve noticed lately there is inconsistency with quality. It depends on who’s working and it’s noticeable that the younger staff are just there to get a paycheck. I hope management prioritizes quality and consistency moving forward. I would still recommend patronizing since overall the food is good and staff are friendly and accommodating.“
