“Maria’s is and has been our go to local restaurant since they opened in 2003. I recently hosted a 70th Birthday party for my husband there with 30 guests and everyone had a great time.
Maria, the owner, Meghan and Erin assisted with the planning and were very accommodating. The party menu was extensive with many choices for appetizers, entrees and desserts. They even created a menu to put at each table setting for guests to choose from. Our waiter and all the staff did a great job, always with a smile on their face. The food and drinks were all delicious, and most guests had leftovers to take home with them. One of the highlights at Maria’s is when celebrating a birthday, all the staff come to the table to sing and make music. It really adds to the festivities.

“Simply the best taco spot in the area for true street-style tacos. I used to drive all the way to Queens to get tacos like these, and now I’ve found this gem just 2 minutes from home.

I ordered the birria tacos and they were absolutely amazing. The meat quality was excellent and the portions were very generous. The birria consommé was perfectly seasoned and came with a grilled jalapeño that added the perfect touch. The tacos also came with fries, and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food.

I also tried the chorizo tostadas, and once again the portion size and flavor were incredible. The condiments were fresh and well balanced, and those came with fries too. There was so much food that it was easily enough for two people.

I can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious street-style tacos, this is the spot.“

I don't know what they call it but I tried a cactus leaf and it was delicious. It has such a flavor that is similar to I guess an artichoke but also very different at the exact same time.

I had two chicken tacos and one chorizo. I love the fact that they have a bar where you can add as much salsa and toppings as you want.

So delicious.

“Had the pleasure of eating at the Greenport location. Two of my HS girlfriends and myself on moderately busy on Sunday (1012/24) at about 5:30. A young waiter named Brian was our server. We first ordered drinks, mine was the margarita with the pomegranate swirl. So delicious!! Refreshing and frosty! We shared the Mexican Street corn and the three dips with chips, which were freshly made. So fabulous! So tasty. The salsa, guacamole and queso were just perfect, each different but delicious!! The corn was sweet and flavorful. I had three tacos in hard shells. Fried chicken, fried shrimp and the marinated steak. Each one was different and very fresh. My one friend, is a vegetarian and the other is gluten intolerant BUT! They each found many yummy choices! I’ve been trying to get to this restaurant for several years, and finally the planets aligned! Brian was well trained, patient and informative with a good humor. “My Dominican wife and I have tried almost every Hispanic restaurant on Long Island. We love authentic Mexican, Peruvian, Ecuadorian, Colombian, Dominican, Puerto Rican, all types of real Hispanic food. The food from this place is absolutely unbelievable. The el pastor taco was enough to make me close my eyes and block out the world. It was by far the most amazing taco I’ve ever had in my life. The octopus was also out of this world. The flavor and portions are unmatchable. I can’t say enough about how good this food is. You would never know it, hidden in this location. I swear on everything I almost got emotional eating this taco.“

“I heard about this place from a friend and I decided to make the trip to see if it is worth the hype. Let me just tell you, it was sooo worth it! I live about three hours away from there, but after this experience, I would gladly make this drive again.

The moment I arrived, I was blown away by the atmosphere. There was good music playing, everyone was incredibly friendly, the energy was amazing, and even though there was a long line, the service was quick as I was able to get my food quickly.

Now, about the food, to me this was truly life changing. it's hard for me to find authentic flavorful Mexcian food where I live, this feels like finding a hidden gem. Every bite just made me want more. I loved it so much that I went back and placed a second order before leaving! (Had to take one for on the road!)

“I stumbled upon this place and I'm glad I did it's not the nicest part of coram but don't let that scare you off the food was made fresh the cook was fantastic and helped me choose because I told him I'm Irish and not familiar with Spanish food only taco bell fast food.
