“Just have to give a quick shoutout to Hard Bean on Merrick Ave. Victor and his wife Elise opened 10 days ago just north of the train station. My fiancé and I were talking to the owners and learned that opening a coffee shop was Victor’s dream. After working at his previous career for almost 30 years, he retired and opened this place. It’s charming inside and the coffee is delicious and less expensive than *$s. They are literally a mom and pop shop and after spending some time there I wanted to post to support and recommend Hard Bean to all the locals.“

“Just went to Greek City Grille and ordered the chicken souvlaki platter with lemon potatoes. The chicken is perfectly seasoned and the lemon potatoes were absolutely amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and the place was so clean and decorated beautifully. Will definitely be coming back!“

Maybe one of the cleanest looking restaurants I have ever scene.
Very nice ambiance.
Food was yum, we got truffle fries, penne aka vodka, the cauliflower, and mozzarella sticks, and pizza.
Got a salad that was ehh but they took it back no problem, really good service.
Bathroom was also very nice, fresh smelling…..

“My daughter and I happened upon this place and we were so happy we did! Chris (not sure if he was the owner or not) was super helpful since we have food allergies. He made my daughter a cotton candy milkshake which she absolutely devoured. I had a flavored coffee which was delicious. From the black and white checkered floor to the murals on the walls, the vintage looking tables and chairs to the fun gelato display case (which was nice and low for little ones to be able to choose from) the decorated garage door which let in so much light to the retro cola display fridge, everything was so well thought out and just a lot of fun. Kudos to them for a really great place, definitely go visit!“

Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is very low key and cozy, soft reggae music in the background for a relaxing lunch. There is some bar seating by the window and a few small tables for 2-3 people. Would definitely come back.“

“ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Service was incredible i walked in while the store had a good amount of people, i saw 2 employees and thought id never get my order. As i order this kind young man helps me decide what bowl i want (he was very generous btw), you can fully optimize yours for your liking. After i finished paying, it was mostly just me there waiting for my food so the young boy says theyll have it out in a couple minutes so a check my phone and then boom order in my face (mind you they were making a lot of orders). I forsure thought it was premade and left out or something but when i tried it it was soooo good the nutella was still gooey and warm while the base was still frozen and refreshing and all the fruits were so fresh! I wish i took a picture cus the presentation was everything but i couldnt help but eat it :( . Nonetheless, Service was amazing, the young boy was really sweet and had a nice white smile, the tall young boy made my bowl with love, and overall my experience was one of the best in all of my fast food experiences. “I MUST shout out Belle from Ready Coffee in Baldwin. It was the first time I went to Ready, and I asked her to make me something delicious and sugar-free, whatever she thought was best. She asked me about my preferences and I told her she had total creative control. She came out a couple minutes later with not one, but TWO coffees, saying “I couldn’t decide which I like more for you, so here’s both” and didn’t charge me for the second one. Of course, I had to come back the next day to thank her. She remembered me and asked which I liked better, and I bought another one of my favorite.

Belle is not only a fantastic barista, but she is personable and kind and already a fantastic businesswoman, as she clearly knows that even the smallest of goodwill gestures and true customer care will have people coming back day after day.

I hope Belle opens her own shop one day, because I will be her first customer. She even got me to sign up for rewards, and I don’t live in the area (I’m on vacation here) but I’ll be back as much as possible.

“Ilona Lynch Stop 20 Diner is the absolute Best diner! They have the best, fattest anf tastiest burgers, which we had last night. I have been getting great meals from there for years, but last night was the first time I have ordered a burger from there, along with 2 good friends, and the burgers blew us away, along with the fries, being cooked to perfection. We have never had such thick burgers before at any diner ever, and they were so tasty and cooked to perfection. The onion rings were also excellent.
