“Very nice inviting decor. Service was just ok. The server was basic, didn’t tell us it was happy hour? Nor did she mention and food selections. For a new establishment I guess I was expecting a bit more … maybe ask if we had been there before? Check back to see how our food was( it was outstanding), we got more help from the water girl Had to ask to clear table. Had to ask for check from the water girl? The server had much support. Seems she took our order and disappeared. But the server assistants were on point. Dinner was really good. We will go back… because of the food. Even the manager walked pasted us a dozen times. There were 6 tables.. perfect time for manager to mingle… just saying. Place is very nice, great menu too. Just left feeling ignored. Nice music too. Maybe the server was having a bad day? Like I said we will go again !!! Great food.“

“The food is absolutely delicious, and it is well priced in light of the good portion sizes. We ordered 3 soups, 1 of each kind that they offer. Wow, they were each *incredible* and we can’t wait to go back for more. We are very grateful that this restaurant exists and is in the neighborhood! We had been looking for authentic Mexican food in the area and it looks like we have found it!“

“I catered a party from RCT and the food was AMAZING! I definitely was nervous that because I was ordering so many pre made tacos they wouldn’t be fresh or would get soggy but nope- the opposite! Each taco was perfect and tasted like it was made on the spot. My guests were blown away by the quality of the food and every one asked where we catered from. The guac and chips were also outstanding. Don’t hesitate. Order from here today!“

“Writing a good review I am running the risk the place will get crowded and I will not be able to get a table. Excellent authentic food, very good cocktails, friendly service, Mexico-like atmosphere, very reasonable prices. The staff makes you feel at home from the minute you walk in. Cannot wait to return.“

“WOW. Wow wow wow. Amazing burritos, the salsas are delicious and the price is super reasonable. Zero complaints! I was looking for a burrito spot close by to where I was driving through and this came up first. I didn’t realize till I arrived that it was inside the mall and it was so worth going inside for. 100% will be back!!!“

“This was a genuinely positive experience. This was the best mexican cuisine I've had in a while and the prices were amazing. I got a carne asada bowl for $14 that was large enough for dinner and lunch. I never write reviews but I felt compelled to because of how small the establishment is. The service is great and they genuinely deserve more business for the cuisine they offer at the price they offer. Significantly better than competitors (chipotle, qdoba) at the same, if not lower, price!
Parking: Side of the building in the shopping strip, usually open and not busy. Several free lots around if parking isn't available- all in walking distance.“

“$2 Taco Tuesday? In this economy?! You’d better believe it! Better yet, those two buck tacos even come with a side of grilled peppers, onions, AND complimentary chips and salsa! An inexplicably inflation-proof deal so sweet you KNOW I had to tack on a few pupusas as well. (Oh, and get this: Wednesday is $2 Pupusa Miercoles!)Surely grub this affordable can’t be good, right? Incorrect! The carnitas tacos were perfect, the frijol y queso pupusas were hot and, if you’ll pardon my French, ooey AND gooey. They were paired with a tangy vinegar-based slaw that was just beautiful. My bill came out to a mere $ 12 and I ate like a (soon-to-be-happily-gout-riddled) king. The staff were all absolutely lovely, too. One even offered to hold my infant daughter who started to fuss midway through my second pupusa so I could finish eating. I was so touched by that!My only regret is not stopping by earlier and not taking photos for this review. Trust me: my meal was gorgeous!“

“This is a Mexican grocery store with a small kitchen and hot plate area. It is not a dining destination. The staff is friendly and the food fresh. If you have a craving for tacos, tortas or a quick ethnic bite, then stop in and get your fix. If you want ambiance, the colorful themes and all the fixings, go elsewhere.“

“Walked in, place is nice and intimate a great place to hangout or date night spot. I ordered the shrimp tacos, Al pastor and the special steak taco. The shrimp taco was phenomenal and the salsa verde elevated it to perfection. 10/10. The Al pastor was tender but the flavor was lacking but with the salsa verde it was tasty. 6.5/10 . The steak from the special taco was amazing on its own but with the tortilla it’s flavor was underwhelming. 7/10. In my UNPROFESSIONAL opinion, the food was not all that flavorful nor outstanding given the prices of each taco the food was disappointing but I really love the actual setting and the workers who are extremely patient and kind. Try this place out and let me know if you agree or disagree!“

“Booked our wedding reception here at the guac shop. We wanted something small, low-key and hassle free for our big day and our brother stumbled upon their party room! We received an informative tour and we’re able to book our date and time easily! The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and so helpful!! The day of, they made it really easy for our florist and wedding planner to set up and the space complimented the celebration in an unexpectedly beautiful way (especially their preexisting floral wall piece)!! The food was hot and ready for us and the party attendant was so friendly, helpful, attentive and just so much fun to have celebrate along with us and serve our dear guests!! We are still getting compliments on the food and our guests have said they want to return just to eat casually! Highly recommend if you’re looking to host a celebration with great food in a great atmosphere!“

“We have picked up food for take out a number of times. We took our family here for dinner and greatly enjoyed the food, the service and the ambiance!
Celiac friendly!! They were very knowledgeable on gluten free needs for our daughter and make many gluten free options!
Daniel was our server. He was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience….. Especially for a family with dietary needs, the restaurant experience can be difficult….not here!!
The food was delicious! Our daughter loves the chicken wings, and we had tacos, the burger, and Mexican salad. All food was wonderful! Definitely will be going back!
Dietary restrictions: There are many Gluten Free options and the staff are knowledgeable around Celiac Disease“

“Great Food, exceptional service and margaritas to die for! Our group of four has been dying to find a good Mexican restaurant (we have tried many)and 5 De Mayo did not disappoint. From our server, to our "Guacamole Girl" to the owner Roberto who came to our table to check in and offer dessert and/or a shot (free of charge), we could not have found a better hidden gem. We will not have to try another Mexican Restaurant as long as 5 De Mayo is around!“

“Azteca Deli in Westbury is another excellent authentic Mexican restaurant. You may have seem my past posts about other Mexican food establishments in Westbury. I've also reviewed Azteca in the past but all those times I was picking up food. Today I finally stopped by for lunch inside the Deli/restaurant. The sitting down experience totally kicks ass!!! I love the vibes here. Fast paced happy Mexican music called Norteno blasts from the speakers above. The Aztec themed colors and artworks are on the walls. There are gods myth and legends in this place as the very friendly owner spoke to us about less known Mexican travel destinations. The complimentary starter appetizers of sliced cucumbers, radish, and Tortilla chips show off the authenticity of this Mexican restaurant. We ordered Birira Tacos, Pancita (menudo) tripes soup, and a Chucharrone Guisado which is a stewed simmer down deep fried pork served with rice and beans with green sauce. The hotsauces, salsa, pickled onions, and condiments are so good here. We had these $7 huge drinks of Horchata as well as Jamaica(Sorel) very delicious and generously presented.
The festive Mexican music here adds happy touch to the delicious experience.
As a local resident, parent, and Realtor®️ I'm grateful for these authentic ethnic food scene.

“I had a delightful dining experience with a party of seven at a Mexican restaurant in Bethpage. The restaurant's ambiance was exceptional and the food was both delicious and fresh. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff promptly clearing our table and offering us additional drinks. I would highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again.
Parking: It's a freestanding building with its own parking lot, providing plenty of parking.“

“If the only measure was food value and size, Burrito Blvd would be a solid 5 out of 5. The amount of food they stuff into a tortilla for $12 is truly incredible. I also love that they will add zucchini (which was tasty) along with some other veg, not just because zucchini is good, but it adds a lot of moisture to the burrito. I had the pork, which was ok (not special, but not bad).but with all the fixin's well, I was stuffed! If you're nearby, it's worth picking up this 2-lb behemoth of a burrito.Ps, it's not the nicest looking place, but it is clean and convenient.“

“The food was really good! Loved the pulled pork and the mac and cheese was super tasty! The collars greens were were cooked well although lacking a little acid for my taste but that was quickly remedied by adding a little of the Carolina bbq sauce which added a mustardy kick. The service was friendly and attentive. My only complaint is the overuse of disposable plastic dinnerware, cups, and serving vessels. If they used more eco-friendly products or traditional plates, silverware, and glasses I'd love this place a lot more. 😏“

“Ordered a sweet greens juice which was surprisingly refreshing and a Ham panini with fries and it was like going back in time to my moms house for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich which just warmed the soul. I ordered a chicken quesadilla to go and it came with rice and beans and a side salad with guac and sour cream and a zesty dressing which was delicious. I will definitely be returning for lunch and trying something new. They have a pretty extensive menu for breakfast lunch and dinner. I originally went there for a smoothie and opted to try something else which clearly was a good decision. I saw that they even serve ice cream which is a plus for me.
Parking: I parked right next to the restaurant it looked like it was spacious enough to have a few clients at a time and i did not pay. I believe there is street parking but that road is busy since its near a highway exit so i could be wrong. There may even be paid parking across the street or adjacent but i wasnt paying much attention to that
Kid-friendliness: I can only assume its kid friendly since its a restaurant and they serve ice cream and have snacks on a shelf. I do not remember if they had a kids menu but you can feed kids anything from there in moderation
Wheelchair accessibility: Double doors and enough space to get in and out from the restaurant as well as accommodations since the tables are not tall and chairs can be moved out of the way. Side walk seems to have enough space to go from parking lot to the front door and into location just fine“

“The food is good and we visit the place frequently but unfortunately there is a woman who waits and charges and takes orders there who gets offended and attacks you horribly. These days we went to eat and she became hysterical with us and also with another family that was eating there. Be very careful with this person because he is aggressive. And it's a shame that they have her serving customers. It's terrifying to know that this lady is coming to bother you and bother you. Pay attention to customer service because the treatment is horrible and I assure you that customers want to be well served.“

“Easily one of the best mini restaurants in town. Sitting in an old family building built some generations back(possibly as early as the 1930's?) this family owned mexican restaurant preserves the small town eatery atmosphere and charm you just don't see anywhere else in Hicksville anymore. The owners are also some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They even occasionally attend the Hicksville Gregory Museum's summer markets from time to time where I discovered how legendary their food is. I strongly recommend this place! Freshest ingredients!“

“They had a nice Happy Hour and the Bartender was nice and helpful. Small friendly bar. I was disappointed I had to download an app to preview the menu so I had to go in. The Happy Hour was reasonable and the empanadas and Tacos were delicious.
Parking: I think it's free street parking. May have to park on a side street.“

“Quaint little 8 table restaurant serving up some sizable and authentic mexican dishes. Doesn’t hurt it also offers a beautiful beach front view of Long Island sound. The cocktails are prepared well, appetizers fresh and if I must say, the carne asada is mind blowing good.I’ve been coming here for few years now and the friendly atmosphere makes it all worth while. It’s a bit out of the way, but trust me, they’re worth the trip.“
