So glad I stopped in here for lunch— I'll be back soon! It's truly a hidden gem. We had a milanesa torta and the quesabirria and both work phenomenal... Truly authentic flavors which is hard to find with Mexican food in the city.
It was quiet in there on a Saturday afternoon, but the atmosphere was welcoming. Our waiter was also the bartender and chef and, presumably, owner.

Ita-Mex is a delicious new spot in the neighborhood. The food receives high praise, with specific dishes highlighted as amazing. The ordered Burria quesadilla and burrito had a delicious, good amount of meat and filling. The birria is loved, especially the birria quesa for its immense flavor and quantity. The crispy tacos birria, Al Pastor, and Cochinata Pibil tacos are also hands down amazing. The elote was refreshing and tangy. Beyond the Mexican and Italian dishes, the smoothies are wonderful, refreshing, and excellent, providing health food options. The staff is nice.
