“Just wanted to get on here and post.. we came up from PA snowmobiling and during our route that we found out by stopping at Pond Effects was shut off by pissed of land owners. We had no choice but to turn around and go the exact way we came (conditions weren’t great and it was about 80 miles)… as we sat and had great food and a few beverages, the owners kids came in. She made a point to her daughter that we were some what “screwed” and we were staying in Turin NY roughly 20 minutes away via vehicle. Her daughter went out of her way to take us back to the lodge to get our trailer and load the sleds at her business! All I can say is great people, great food, cold beer and I hope they can find a 3 mile connector to this bar because it would be a great place for snowmobilers to stop!!“

“This place has a hometown feel that at the same time welcomes the out of towners. The food here has been excellent or good depending on who the current chef is. We enjoy meeting local friends here for drinks or to just show up and chat with whomever else we might know. It's a good view of the north end of Snow Ridge Ski Resort, too!“
