“We dined at the Majors Restaurant in East Meadow. Dinner was delicious. I have no complaints about that. Here is my issue. Little, but it’s the principle. My husband ordered a cup of coffee after our $158 Dinner. The coffee came and when he put milk in it, I noticed it was really dark. I tasted it. WOW it was burnt, old & muddy. I called the waiter over and asked for a new brewed cup of coffee. He came back with a cup from the SAME pot. Normally I would of just moved on & left it. But when the bill came we were charged $3.50. For 1 cup of burnt coffee? Sorry it was the principle. If you are going to charge your clients $3.50 for a cup of coffee, invest in a Keurig where every cup is fresh. You make a great margin per cup?“

“We went to Peter Luger’s in Brooklyn to celebrate my son’s and my birthdays. Incredibly, it was our first time there. We will be back. Beautiful, old world atmosphere. The food was beyond delicious. Our waiters, Adi and Justin were friendly and professional. I read so many reviews that the wait staff was rude and cold. Don’t believe it for one second. All the waiters were attentive and checked to see how everything was going. Don’t miss the apple strudel and schlag. I’d give Peter Luger’s ten stars if I could. Can’t wait to return.“

And the meal only got better from there, ending with a perfectly cooked tomahawk steak that was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. “Prices are similar to the city, food matches price but service was really great. Younger staff but with an old school etiquette. Drinks are made RIGHT. A great Manhattan and Margarita...Got us set for our flight. Thanks to the staff. We had the pulled pork sliders and club sandwich.“

“I've been coming here for almost 9 years at least 1-2x a year and the service and experience has declined over time. I requested a corner table/booth almost 3 weeks prior to my actual reservation date and that was not honored. They could have easily seated the later reserved parties at our table, or parties who didn't request a specific seating at our table that was literally directly in the middle of the dining room. And about 10/15 mins after we sat down, I seen corner table/booths become available. Food was delicious as always, but things like being offered cracked pepper for our salads didn't happen. The food service didn't really flow like it normally does and the wait time in between courses was pretty long. There was also a lot of offensive chatter from a large party next to us, which didn't help create a true elegant dining experience. To the restaurants defense, it seemed like a busy night but nothing that they probably haven't handled/seen before. Going to be giving here a rest for now.“
