I recently went on (04/05) for my 31st birthday and I wanted to say I was astounded by the flavor and composition of my special. I ordered the rabbit. As someone who cherishes local and seasonal ingredients, this menu item was a slam dunk. Between the rabbit, the mustard greens and the delightful dancing of purple radish on my plate…I was beyond satiated by the balance and beauty of this dish. Hats off to the chef who designed this and those who executed it. It was amazing. And I’ve been telling everyone about it at work. Thank you for giving me a culinary memorable moment, it meant a LOT!“

“7 of us popped in on a Thursday evening without a reservation. We were kindly greeted and promptly seated. We each enjoyed our meals and appetizers - delicious food, large portions. The service is consistently great, food is what you would expect and you will likely come away with multiple meals.

Keep in mind this is a standard all-american eats diner (do forget if they have international cuisine options so someone please correct me), but it is typically a good balance between taste and price.“

“We recently ordered lunch from The Beacon Daily for a group of 20 people attending a special event weekend at Glynwood in Cold Spring, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, Chris, the owner, was an absolute pleasure to work with. Since The Beacon Daily typically does not offer direct delivery for a la carte orders, I explained that this lunch was part of a very important three day celebration and that everything needed to be handled with extra care. Without hesitation, Chris personally stepped in, took ownership of the order, and even delivered it himself all the way to Glynwood's Perkins House. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and willingness to accommodate our requests were truly remarkable. He thoughtfully provided compostable plates, napkins, and flatware and made sure every aspect of the order was handled flawlessly. It is rare to find a business owner so personally invested in ensuring a customer's event is successful. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. “After our weekly walk adventure a friend suggested we stop by for lunch at Tavern 23. She said it was a 'hole in the wall' but the food is excellent. Well, was she RIGHT! Two of us had the Kale salad and another person had the Reuben. We shared a Beech Brie appetizer. Everything was delicious, fast, and very friendly service even though the place was hopping on a late Sunday afternoon!!! Highly recommend. ;-)“

The food was good (had some cheeseburger sliders and fries) the bartender was great. I'm not a big drinker, but they had these hard ciders that were very good.
