“Pulled in for my usual order (sesame bagel, scooped, toasted, scallion cream cheese, sliced nova, tomato) and read reviews before going inside. Almost passed due to some highly critical reviews, but noticed (a)these were outliers and (b)the owner replies to all, showing he cares. Decided to go anyway and glad I did. Excellent bagel with generous portions and excellent service! Zero sign of overpricing or service issues. Payment terminal doesn't even prompt you for tip, which is always so awkward. Clearly, the bad reviews are coming from disgruntled former employees or competitors (or both). I normally don't post reviews, but since I rely myself on Google reviews so heavily, I felt the need to correct the record. Great LI bagel shop. Now you know!“

“I am in town for the weekend and stopped in for coffee and breakfast at about 11 am on a Saturday. I was originally going to pick up food to head back over to the airbnb but ended up staying while I ate a chicken empanada, an Everything Flagel (flat bagel) with lox cream cheese, and a cup of coffee. As I ate, a lot of people came and went and seemed to know the place really well. It appears to be a family business and the customer service is friendly and efficient. The parking is plentiful and convenient, and the place is clean with a great assortment of fresh bagels. The coffee is fresh and average tasting. I was amazed at how many people ordered ordered bagels with the inside fluff scooped out, which I have been doing forever. This is why I was so happy to discover the Flagel which I asked them to scoop out anyway, but there was less to scoop out because it is already flat. I'm interested only in the crispy part, not the soft bready part inside. The empanada was great. They have chicken and beef. If you buy 6 of them, then the 7th one is free. The dessert/sweets assortment varied from things that looked homemade to packaged cookies to muffins from Costco. To go, I bought 2 more garlic bagels with lox and regular cream cheese, a bagel with some homemade chicken salad, a beef and a chicken empanada, plus a black-and-white cookie (which was fresh and delicious even though it was prepackaged.) This place is great, and I wish there was one like this where I live in Redondo Beach, CA. The only negative thing I have to say about Bethpage Bagels is that I wish that they would accept some form of payment other than only cash. Even if it were Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal, any other option would be an easier and more sanitary way to pay for food. I don't like seeing people in a food establishment handling dirty coins and bills if they are also putting food into bags and containers. That's the only reason why I didn't give this place a 5-star rating. If this were not a cash only establishment, I would've purchased 7 empanadas to go, instead of only 2!“

“Turnpike Deli is a pleasant place to stop, largely thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff. Service is consistently polite, and the overall atmosphere is comfortable. Most of the food is generally good and reliable, making it a solid option for a quick bite or a casual meal.
That said, the muffins are a weak point. They tend to be dry and not very flavorful, and the prices overall are on the higher side for what you get. Still, the good service and dependable food make it a place worth considering, especially if you’re nearby and value friendly customer interaction.“

“If you’re in the East Northport area, and you’re looking for a real bagel, this is the spot! It’s a gem! A whole in the wall, mom and pop, old school shop, with a lack luster sign, in a tiny parking lot, makes this place easy to miss, but don’t miss it!! I’ve been getting my bagels from here for about 8 years, and it’s always been consistent.
After living on the Queens border for many years, I was shocked after moving to East Northport that many bagel shops in town don’t really make bagels. They make donut shaped bread. And most locals are so accustomed to eating this donut shaped bread, that they actually have no idea what a real bagel should taste and feel like. It’s strange. Or maybe locals settle for a less-than delicious bagel, so they can sit in a trendier setting, which I also find weird. But, I digress.
The point of all of that is to say that at Stuff-A-Bagel, you will get the closest thing to an authentic city bagel that I have found anywhere in this general area. Yes, I have tried every bagel shop in East Northport, Northport, Greenlawn and Commack. And none of the ones locals brag about even compare to this one.
When you visit Stuff-A-Bagel, your bagel will be perfectly cooked, slightly toated and “al dente” on the outside, while nice and doughy on the inside. It will have that “pop” that a bagel should. (If you know, you know.) Their bagels are delicious and addicting! Also, their cream cheese tastes homemade, as every bagel store’s should be. If you’re not making your own cream cheese, are you even a bagel store? (Tangent again, sorry.)
Also, the owners here are such lovely people. They are warm and welcoming. They value getting to know their customers, which is a rare thing nowadays. Their prices are fair, and they’ve thrown in a few freebies a couple of times, when my order was larger. And, they keep the line moving. You never have to wait long for your order. I cannot say enough about how wonderful their customer service is. Warning to those who do not like kindness and socialization: (as a previous reviewer stated) you may feel an unfamiliar feeling to interact with your fellow man. But it’s okay. You can do it.
Stuff-A-Bagel is delicious! Next time you’re on Larkfield, driving by, stop in and see for yourself. Better yet, next Saturday, grab your weekly dozen from there! When it comes to bagels, THIS is a place that people should be talking about!!!“

“Today was my first time here. I was shocked at how cheap the prices were and then I tried the food. Listen I grew up in NYC and have ate a 1,000 bacon egg and cheeses in my life. This was the absolute best bacon and cheese I have ever tasted. THIS PLACE IS ELITE!“

“Love this place, but there are two downsides. One, the beverage cups. The lids never stay open and leak. And two, the man who works the counter whenever I visit (the one who handles the coffees) is very cold. He has been the same ever since I first visited this place 2 years back. I was hoping he would change his demeanor over time so that I would not have to write this, but he still is cold as the first day I met him. He does not make me feel welcomed, has made careless jokes in the past, and never greets me with a smile. I always feel like I am walking on eggshells whenever I ask him for assistance. Aside from that, I do really love the coffee and bagel options, the atmosphere is warm, and the owner is very inviting. It would just be nice to not feel like I am a burden every single time I stop in, and I would visit much more often.

“One of Huntington’s best traditional bagel spot with variety of cream cheeses and sandwiches. Their fresh, in-house-made bagels—especially everything and cinnamon raisin are my favorite. Aaman makes perfect Sunnyside-up and always greets with a warm smile. It's my go-to breakfast spot every morning.
Busy, but the Line moves quickly, lox sandwich with capers is highly recommended.

I have to repeat it three times and he still didn't get it right! The woman behind me was shaking her head and disbelief.
He never gave me a fork and knife, so I had to get up from the table and go get that. Then I told him for toast lightly toasted and he burnt it so bad, you could snap in half like a cookie.If I ever DO go back there, I will make sure that he does NOT take my order.“

“I love this place, much better than other delis in the area. However, they are a bit more pricey than the others. Bagels are always delicious and the staff are always friendly and kind. One big reason this isn’t a 5 star review is because the staff do not change their gloves regularly. They will touch cash, the register, other things around the store, and then go touch your bagel. Disgusting! Either have 1 hand for food and the other for money or just change your gloves between orders.“

Hands down the best BEC I've had in forever.
