The brick oven crust is SO good. We loved the buffalo chicken pizza, their house wing sauce they use is unique, and it was a nice shake up to traditional buffalo sauce. “The food was the closest thing to my dear old Italian grandmother's. I commented to our server how the food tasted so authentic and learned the owner/chef is from the same small town in Italy as my grandmother. You could taste it in the food! The service was as good as the food. We left there feeling like we were just at a family dinner. It was our first time here and it's a 1.5 hour drive, but we will be back often. Highly recommend!“

Fresh toppings, crust cooked to crispy perfection and an insane cheese pull. Coolest part of the entire experience however was that I could watch my pizza being made on a nearby TV! “I was in the area and my coworkers had always suggested I drop by this location. I live in the city so I'm not out here terribly often. Dropped in for a slice and I was very impressed. I kind of see it like a quality mix of the slightly doughy pizza that Rochester knows and likes, and a NY style slice that I'm partial to. Quality crunch without being hard. Good cheese blend, sauce to cheese ratio. All good stuff. Very pleasant. The buffalo chicken pies looked terrific so I'll probably grab one in the near future.“

“As a longtime satisfied customer of Mark’s in Fairport, I didn’t think I could be more pleased with their service, but I was wrong. Tonight I placed an order online for delivery. After an hour I called because it never takes that long for a delivery. It turns out I messed up and did the online order for pickup, rather than delivery. I drove to the store and was greeted by the manager who informed me she was making me a new pizza because she didn’t want me leaving with a cold pizza. When I told her it was my fault and that wasn’t necessary she insisted I was getting a fresh, hot pizza. I was blown away!! In an age of horrible customer service, this young lady decided to go above and beyond to satisfy a customer even though the mistake was clearly my fault! I have been a customer of Mark’s for quite some time and this just proved to me why! Their slogan is “we treat you like family” and, as it turns out, this is not just a slogan but reality! “I did an event for Perinton Rec and saw a kid eating a sub that looked delicious. I asked the dad where you get that from he said Clawsons up the road. So I had to have one. One of the best subs I ever had. Bread was soft and loaded with Roast Beef a little messy like I like my subs. I ate the whole sub in the parking lot.“

Here’s the truth…it was the best sub we’ve ever had and hubby is an expert.

“I live far from Rochester now, but I miss Perri's so much. Every order of wings I get at another restaurant is just another unsuccessful attempt of experiencing wings that taste as good as Perri's magic sauce wings. Other places might have good wings, but Perri's has the BEST.

“Google must be giving out "local guide" status to anyone because Anthony Viscusi is horribly misinformed and possibly blind. The dough at pontillos is NOT frozen. The staff at pontillos makes the dough fresh every morning. There is an entire room in the corner of the dining area with glass walls where employees make the dough. In fact if you come in early enough, usually just after opening, you can watch them make the dough through the glass for yourself. Please remove Anthony Viscusi from being a local guide as he is obviously a terrible critic.“

When my buddy posted a video of his ex wife in our group chat. We all knew what had to be done. He had to eat the fish fry pizza or we were not letting him back in the chat. The fish fry pizza has long been a source of intrigue for my friends. I got it a few times and both occasions I found the pie to be not palatable. Months went by, even years, and the legend of the fish fry pizza faded. The video of the ex wife was enough for the fish fry pizza to have heard its master’s call.

So we ordered one the other night. The chef that made the pizza showed their absolute depth of understanding in relation to texture and flavor. They understood that the tomatoes needed a gentle touch. There was clear intention shown with the amount of tartar sauce and the cook of the pie. The lettuce. Above all else, we feared the warm lettuce. The chef chopped it to an appropriate size and put just the right amount on. All I have to say to the person that made this fish fry pizza - Bravo. May you sleep like a bambino until the end of your days. Five Stars.“
