“I went to outbacks for the steak special on 3/23 that I seen on TV for $14 baked potatoes salad or soup & cheese cake the server said not here its 19$ then also I didn't know the restaurant offered a senior discount I just saw it on my phone to give my review why is the special only in certain cutbacks? That's mis-¹ representation the proce should be the same in all Outback Restaurants im 80 years old and I should of been aware in the restaurant of a senior discount by the way I enjoyed the dinner”

We chatted about the history of this type of venue in Middletown and how to survive. He gets it. While chatting, his head was on a swivel, watching his guests and crew. Rob spoke so highly about his crew, you would think they were family. I am so glad I went and enjoyed the family atmosphere. Well done team!!”

“Wonderful place wonderful space beautiful circular tap room. Nice brutalist with incredibly detailed and exquisite descriptions. They don’t have flights but you can get 4 ounce pores of several different bruise so it’s similar to having a flight plus they have smoked wings, barbecue brisket and pulled pork and a variety of other Tantalizing menu items. Definitely worth a try if you’re in Middletown. Drop your car off at the dealership (like I did.( The deal dealership provides a ride over from the dealership So you can get lunch and then call you and come get you after your car is done! Definitely worth the trip!”

“We had our wedding here on 10/4/25 and it was absolutely incredible! The venue itself was gorgeous and had such a great charm to it. All of our guests couldn’t stop complimenting us on how great it really was. Our photographer kept saying how good a place to take photos it was. Obviously we had high expectations for this night and it was exceeded. My wife said that it was so much better than she had ever dreamt it could be. The staff went above and beyond and made our special day as stress free as can be. Elaina and Steven were fantastic! Everyone was, but unfortunately I only wrote down those two names so apologies to anyone else who may have been working this event but THANK YOU to everyone. Friendly and patient staff I can’t recommend this place enough. The food was incredible and the beers were cold. They accommodated us so well and we are extremely thankful. If you’re looking for a place to host an event this is it! Or if you’re just looking to grab a drink and a bite this is also the place to go. Thank you to everyone at Clemson for making this the best night of our lives!!”

It was our first time in the Middletown area and before we went we had the impression of it being kind of a backwoods small town without much going on. Therefore, I have to say that finding this restaurant was a really big surprise. Not only were the food and service great but it was quite authentic and not your typical Americanized Mexican food. I don’t claim to be a Mexican food expert but I have had many business trips to Mexico. The food they served was definitely freshly made. Not overly cheezed up like most other “Mexican” restaurants across the US. The lady was also very friendly.

We ordered all different flavors of their agua fresca in large cup size, and they came in these huge soup takeout containers 😄 and they tasted so good.”

“Absolutely incredible! Spicy Crab Meat Roll, California Roll, and Salmon Roll were so fresh and tasty, perfect rice and rolled very well! Their gyoza is unlike any gyoza I've had, very fresh tasting pork with a more mild flavor, with a lightly spicy sauce and crispy outside. Perfect! Crab Rangoon are great, and Crispy Sesame Chicken is cooked perfectly, and the sauce is superb. Not overloaded with sugar like some other places. Best Japanese food around”

I would pick the lengua aka ox tongue a lot more tender and juicy if you go the bovine route. The enchiladas with mole was bomb and the chile relleno is to die for that’s green chilies fried and battered with a cheesy filling. And don’t get me started on the rice and beans and next door you got rock fantasy after a meal you can go to the pinball arcade what a perfect date”

“I want to preface this by saying I love Olive Garden! It’s one of my favorite restaurants, and I have never had a bad experience there until today.

Everything was fine…quite literally. Our waitress Kya was very polite and attentive. She took our order and made sure to update us on when we should expect our salad and appetizer. Our salad, breadsticks and appetizer came out promptly. But my best friend and I quickly noticed that every ten minutes or so our waitress and other waitstaff would come to our table to check on us. It was rather excessive, however, their constant checking in was being fueled by their aggressive manager Miranda.

The way Miranda spoke to her staff was jarring, abrupt, inconsiderate, uncomfortable, and rude. She could be heard from the kitchen making the dining experience unnecessarily awkward. Her staff handled her behavior professionally. My best friend and I asked our waitress if she was alright. Her response was professional and passive.

My sympathy and empathy goes to the staff and I sincerely hope this was a one-off situation. Nobody deserves to be spoken to or treated unjustly. One piece of (unwarranted) advice to Miranda: to be a good leader is to know it’s more effective and impactful to praise your staff in public, and coach your staff in private.”

The ingredients are super fresh, the flavors and combinations are expertly put together, and the owner is a true showman who clearly loves the food and sharing it with the community. The danish dog is my favorite, and my husband loves the Italian sausage with onions. Even the basic chili dog is better than average, and his inventive sauces add so much flavor to the dogs that they can’t be replicated anywhere else. The building is small and it’s crowded and dingy and sometimes smoky inside, but we truly feel that it adds to the charm and makes the experience even more unique. Just go - you’ll be so glad you did!”

I just want to clarify that I would always give this place 5 stars except for today. Had a sloppy and somewhat ride waitress that didn’t even get the whole order right and it wasn’t much that we ordered. Had to also be someone different or stingy cooking today because my BLT had more tomatoes and lettuce than it did bacon. Seriously??? TODAY I GICE A 2 STAR , and never want that sloppy somewhat rude waitress again.”

Customers ordering at the register were waited on promptly. The other couple and I were not even acknowledged. Other to go orders were packed up and while there were 3 people we could tell were working up front only 1 stayed up front to pack another order- while the 3 of us were still standing there waiting for our orders which were sitting on the back counter, ready. Not on the pick up counter. It took me speaking up to even be noticed. Surely enough that was my order that had been sitting there the whole time. And finally the other couple got theirs as well. Please acknowledged when someone is standing there, on either side. Kindly tell the other person you'll be with them shortly. Then everyone feels seen and their food doesn't get cold while hanging out unable to be picked up.

Also, unless you're across the street and able to see the awning, it's not really easy to see your shop. No signage on the front door if coming from New Middletown direction on the same side of the street.”

“Our family was looking last minute for a place to have a family dinner to celebrate our daughter’s ninth birthday after our original reservation fell through at another place. Pelligrinos is our favorite pizza spot so I called them. It was 5:30PM on a Friday night and I asked if they could accommodate our party of nine at 7:00. They were happy to prepare a table for us! I was shocked. They brought us the most incredible plate antipasto and placed it in front of our daughter and said happy birthday! Then we have the most delicious apps, pizza and an incredible pasta special for dinner. We couldn’t have been happier! They then brought complimentary fried dough for dessert for the table! What an incredible experience! We were so grateful that they not only came to our rescue at that late hour, but they went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night. If you want a five star experience with both food and service, go to Pelligrinos!”

I never pay cash because if I pay cash unless its exact amount I can forget about getting back any coin change. They round it off to the nearest dollar always to their benefit. Apparently the patrons there dont tip very well so they take matters in their own hands....it is called petty larceny....good food though”

I have been to other taco spots around the mid Hudson area and by far Rubens is my favorite. My gf and I plan on going there for our 1 yr anniversary. Sounds crazy if you've ever been in the place, cuz it's literally a few shelves of product, a long counter for dine in and usually pretty hot, but those tacos ... Best in southern NY, if you ask me. Rubens has been featured on our Facebook and Instagram stories more times than I can count.

I have been getting tacos from them for the past 7 or so years, and plan on continuing that as long as I possibly can.

“Just ran in to grab a coffee. Had to place the order on a screen and waited till it came up. Not sure why they ask for your name or give you a number when they just said what the coffee was. So I almost didn't realize it was mine. So it's not bad just not very personable. But I get it in the am and being in a rush people don't have time and can be grumpy. My coffee was good and just the way I ordered 😌 ☺️ so thats a win for me.”
