“Delicious hot dogs, sliders and sandwiches. I ordered the Chino dog which is a taste sensation. It’s cash only, but they have an ATM on-site. Can get busy but they move everyone along pretty quickly. Definitely worth a detour if you’re driving past on I-84 or are the area. A Hudson Valley gem for sure.”

“Last night, for my birthday, we had what I have to call a perfect, and perfectly delicious meal. You can’t take a picture of an experience, but if there were a way, we would have tried. My fettuccine Bolognese was a detailed joy, yielding a world of varied delights in every bite. Even the radicchio and endive salad… one of those textured, flavorful events where you close your eyes and savor every each mouthful. I could go on and on… but I’m still busy savoring. Gorgeous setting, roomy comfort, delightful servers and employees… and the bank does not break. You’d pay 100 or 150% more in the city to even come close.”

“I went to outbacks for the steak special on 3/23 that I seen on TV for $14 baked potatoes salad or soup & cheese cake the server said not here its 19$ then also I didn't know the restaurant offered a senior discount I just saw it on my phone to give my review why is the special only in certain cutbacks? That's mis-¹ representation the proce should be the same in all Outback Restaurants im 80 years old and I should of been aware in the restaurant of a senior discount by the way I enjoyed the dinner”

“This place is not only so beautiful and welcoming, but the food is incredible. My husband and I came for dinner and the service was impeccable, as well as the timing of the appetizers and entrees. We had the pork ribs special and the lamb saulvapki dish. Beautiful presentation of the food which was also bursting with flavors. We will definitely be back!”

“Barrel 28 is a wonderful place to have an event in their private room. We recently had our daughters bridal shower there. Everyone raved about the food, which was wonderful. The wait staff was amazing, very friendly and attentive. All other staff we interacted with were also great. Would definitely recommend Barrel 28 for your next party”

“Ate here tonight for the first time with my husband. We had chicken samosas which were great with yummy sauces. I had shrimp curry and my husband had chicken curry…both were delicious! Portion sizes were very good. The service was great and everyone was very nice working there! We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!”

“Finally got to Hook & Reel!! Great vibe, great food! We sat at the bar and enjoyed Danielle’s company. Rob, was an incredible insight to the short history of this restaurant and is wonderful. We chatted about the history of this type of venue in Middletown and how to survive. He gets it. While chatting, his head was on a swivel, watching his guests and crew. Rob spoke so highly about his crew, you would think they were family. I am so glad I went and enjoyed the family atmosphere. Well done team!!”
