“Last night, for my birthday, we had what I have to call a perfect, and perfectly delicious meal. You can’t take a picture of an experience, but if there were a way, we would have tried. My fettuccine Bolognese was a detailed joy, yielding a world of varied delights in every bite. Even the radicchio and endive salad… one of those textured, flavorful events where you close your eyes and savor every each mouthful. I could go on and on… but I’m still busy savoring. Gorgeous setting, roomy comfort, delightful servers and employees… and the bank does not break. You’d pay 100 or 150% more in the city to even come close.”

“We came to hear JT and the Leads play and ended up having a great meal as well. I ordered chicken strips thinking it would be 2 or 3 finger.sized strips but they were three very large strips. They were great as was my husband's putine and my guests pork dish. Very impressed with the size of each meal. I don't like beer and the other options for drinks were so-so but it is a brewery so it's to be expected. Will definitely be back, especially the next time JT/Leads are back. Oh, I also liked that we were not crammed into the dining room. I will try the outdoor area next time....it looked beautiful with the sun setting”

“I went to outbacks for the steak special on 3/23 that I seen on TV for $14 baked potatoes salad or soup & cheese cake the server said not here its 19$ then also I didn't know the restaurant offered a senior discount I just saw it on my phone to give my review why is the special only in certain cutbacks? That's mis-¹ representation the proce should be the same in all Outback Restaurants im 80 years old and I should of been aware in the restaurant of a senior discount by the way I enjoyed the dinner”

“We got the Chili honey Saganaki, and deconstructed moussaka as appetizers. The deconstructed moussaka was absolutely delicious but was very large! I definitely could of had that as my meal it was so good! I've had moussaka in Greece and I have had a hard time finding anything that comes close but this was just as delicious in its own way! And the Saganaki appetizer was also so so good! For entree had halibut souvlaki and chicken souvlaki, the halibut souvlaki was like nothing I've had before was delicious but very messy to eat with these plates. The fries were delicious and come with different toppings you can choose from I got plan my bf got Cajun? I believe and it was spicy! I'm glad I stuck with plan fries. For dessert got bread pudding which was alright. The drinks were delicious and very pretty! On the expensive side to eat here but very fancy looking place. Overall I would definitely go back and try more dishes! Pleasantly surprised with this place :)”

“Ate here tonight for the first time with my husband. We had chicken samosas which were great with yummy sauces. I had shrimp curry and my husband had chicken curry…both were delicious! Portion sizes were very good. The service was great and everyone was very nice working there! We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!”

“Barrel 28 is a wonderful place to have an event in their private room. We recently had our daughters bridal shower there. Everyone raved about the food, which was wonderful. The wait staff was amazing, very friendly and attentive. All other staff we interacted with were also great. Would definitely recommend Barrel 28 for your next party”

The food is delicious and authentic, the staff are so friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. You can tell how much thought, care, and creativity go into every little detail. It’s such a lovely and thoughtfully designed restaurant.

We were in the area with our kids for a trip to LEGOLAND, and we enjoyed our first visit so much that we actually changed our itinerary to come back a second time. We even took some food home with us!

The cuisine was exceptionally well-received, representing a distinct departure from typical Spanish fare. We chatted about the history of this type of venue in Middletown and how to survive. He gets it. While chatting, his head was on a swivel, watching his guests and crew. Rob spoke so highly about his crew, you would think they were family. I am so glad I went and enjoyed the family atmosphere. Well done team!!”
