“Wow. for a dunkin inside of a gas station i’ve never been more pleased with an experience. first of all, we came in 10 minutes before closing, so an angelic young employee gave us our much needed iced coffees free of charge! (don’t worry, we tipped the amount of the cost). not one coffee in my life has ever made me happier. on a six hour long car ride from vermont to nyc, this coffee came right in time. and with a great interaction with an employee, i felt like for a moment, everything was right in the world. Thank you dunkin.”

“The Historic Village Diner in Red Hook, NY is a unique piece of history that you can experience a great meal at. The diner is a 1927 Silk City model. At the time of its manufacture the diners came prefabricated with cups, glasses, and silverware. On the side of the diner as you walk in you will notice the diner’s old name, the “Halfway Diner” because of its location halfway between Albany and NYC. The diner has a ton of historic and nostalgic value.
The food here is great and the diner has a large dessert menu. It is possible to dine in or order take out. Portion sizes here are large. If you dine in you will love the ambience of this diner with its counter and booths. The service here is great! No place serves food and history better than this one.”

“My best friend, her daughter and I stopped here for a late-ish breakfast today on our way back to Putnam County this morning. We had never been before and this came up while searching for a breakfast spot. Jeanie Bean's certainly lived up to the charming name! Sweet place, really nice, helpful staff. Our order was pancakes, chicken tenders (no, actually cutlets!!) with really great well done fries, and a BLTurkey which I requested on rye. I didn't ask but I am pretty sure that Rye was homemade. Very fresh and thick cut. Many other homemade baked goods blessed the counter, which we sadly didn't try. The teenager drank a monster energy drink while us adults split a can of Arizona iced tea. There is a little set up to help yourselves to silverware/napkins, salt/pep, sauces/ketchup and there are a couple beverage coolers with several options. There is a little coffee bar area and although I didn't get a good look I'm sure there was the option for hot tea as well. I am not quite sure where the int'l inspo comes from (perhaps the family has a British background?) but there are some interesting English teas/treats in the little gift shop area near the front half of the store. Seemed like there were some handmade things, and many cute gifts. The teen and I played a couple rounds on the little wooden tic tac toe game that was on the table. The food was great, atmosphere was fun and friendly. You order up front, grab your table and they call your name and bring out your order. 10/10 would recommend if you happen to be up in the Country! Oh, p.s. there is also an English inspired phone box outside labeled the BOOK BOX full of books to grab / exchange!”

“I am very particular about pizza and I’ve had a hard time finding good pie in the Hudson Valley. We tried Pizzeria Posto today and I’m happy to say it’s here. Awesome margarita pie with tons of basil and excellent wine!”

“Loved this restaurant! We had a lovely round of drinks from their fun menu; sake margarita and a black cosmo? The service was good, our server started strong and did get slower as our meal went on but the restaurant also got busy so it made sense. Luckily they had busboys helping out. All the meals we had were delicious, specifically the burrata appetizer. We also had the most delicious sweet potato cheesecake for dessert, it might be seasonal though so go in now! Also our chocolate martinis were to die for, props to the bartender. It was a bit pricey but had a lovely chic and fancy vibe. My whole party really enjoyed our dinner here, highly recommend a visit!”

It won’t put me off coming here again but it’s nice to go out and not be surrounded by families with kids. I understand families are allowed to go out to breweries etc .
