“Visited Garvan’s today for the first time for a late lunch in the Pub. We started with Mexican Street Carrots. So delicious! My husband had the traditional Irish breakfast and I had the lamb stew. Both meals were excellent. Wish we could have had dessert, but we were so stuffed. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We’re looking forward to visiting again.“

“The Jalapeno poppers deviled eggs were my absolute favorite. Steaks ribs tips were overly seasoned. They over season alot of their food. make sure you have water lol. Other then that waiter was very pleasant. beautiful place with live music on Fridays. Not cheap. but definitely higher end restaurant in the area.“

“Very historic cozy tavern in the city of Newburgh. Parking is adequate, restrooms are antique and not expected to be perfect. Service was above average but wasn't fully knowledgeable about different wines. Food was very good, we had the Beef Wellington, Liver Pate, Apple Cobbler, Spiked Root Beer Float along with salads. Recommend all. Prices seemed good for fine dining. Nice experience and will return again.“

“7 of us popped in on a Thursday evening without a reservation. We were kindly greeted and promptly seated. We each enjoyed our meals and appetizers - delicious food, large portions. I opted for the half portion of Chicken Sandoval. The half portion was plenty and the dish was tasty! A great spot to eat in the Village and even re-connect with with an "old" friend.“

“It's so nice to be able to walk 5 minutes from my house and get such a great breakfast. I always order 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwiches and they come out fast on fresh hard rolls with delicious crispy bacon. It's better and much cheaper than that other popular deli in poughkeepsie. Oh yeah!“

“Stonehedge has always been a favorite restaurant for our family. Unfortunately due to life circumstances we hadn’t been there for a couple of years. My husband and I decided to end the drought and went to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad we did. Everything was even better than we remembered it. It started with the delicious and wonderfully fresh dinner rolls that we’ve always loved. The French onion soup was the best I’ve had in ages (I’m a French onion soup snob😂) and the baked stuffed clams were just as my husband remembered them. The dinner salad with the house dressing was cold and fresh, and we highly recommend the double cut pork chop and the jumbo shrimp francaise as dinner entrees. We both left full and more than satisfied - they never disappoint! Thank you to the folks at Stonehedge for the great meal and good service. It felt like we were coming home! We promise you’ll see us again soon.“

“My first time. While the decor was standard Irish pub bar-sign-style, the food was elevated. I had a delicious, healthy, seared tuna Cobb Salad and a great cocktail. The staffers never left us wanting and were attentive and personable. Can't wait to go back!“

“Crew was an outstanding dining experience. We have been to 4 cities in America over a three week period including New York and DC celebrity chef restaurants and hands down this was the best dining experience we have had during our holiday. We sat at the chef’s counter and highly recommend it - the chefs were generous with their time and it really was dinner theatre watching them prepare the incredible food. We do not get this opportunity to get up close and personal so with chefs in our own country (Australia) during a service - 5 stars for sure!“

You allowed us to stay long and even put a table out for us, for my sisters pictures. “I know things have to change...but seeing how the place was virtually stripped of all its character from the days of Steve's ownership just broke my old New Paltzian townie heart. I was glad to see old favorites on the menu and maybe some new ones...it wasn't really the same though. I was sad not to see the wooden booths where one *thought* private conversations could be had and the old wooden bar that had so many great moments of community shared. And the local art work too...gone. Not sure if I will return...I'll have to hold onto my memories, though perhaps I will convince my home grrrllzz to go and make new ones with me when I come to town. I am grateful that the name hasn't changed-it was hard enough when it changed from The Gay Nineties Bistro to just *The Bistro*. I am also glad there are menu items on there I know and love. I wish the owners good luck and longevity. It's really an institution and I'd hate to see it fall to ruin like so many of my cherished places of the past.“

“Excellent place & even better food! I've been to the Ramen By Rare place 3 times and each time I had an amazing experience. Food is 10/10! I'm surprised it's not jammed packed with a waiting list for 15 minutes to be seated. I pray Keith Lee comes here and does a review cause it's no way it should be me and like 3 other people here on a Friday night.“
