“I went to Mineola Cafe a couple of days ago and the food was fantastic, definitely authentic and full of flavor! It’s honestly the best and most authentic tacos in the area. The dishes really hit the spot and you can tell they put effort into everything. The only downside was the service, which wasn’t the best. It took a while longer than expected to get our food. Still, the food made up for it and I’d definitely return.“

“Very friendly staff. Someone came around to ask if we doing alright, which is unusual for this type of place. They used to have plastic knives, but maybe the TSA forbade them in restaurants too. There were no spoons either, which makes it difficult to feed little kids. Overall, however, really awesome place. The steak is so much better than I thought it would be! The kids love it there!“

“Very nice inviting decor. Service was just ok. The server was basic, didn’t tell us it was happy hour? Nor did she mention and food selections. For a new establishment I guess I was expecting a bit more … maybe ask if we had been there before? Check back to see how our food was( it was outstanding), we got more help from the water girl Had to ask to clear table. Had to ask for check from the water girl? The server had much support. Seems she took our order and disappeared. But the server assistants were on point. Dinner was really good. We will go back… because of the food. Even the manager walked pasted us a dozen times. There were 6 tables.. perfect time for manager to mingle… just saying. Place is very nice, great menu too. Just left feeling ignored. Nice music too. Maybe the server was having a bad day? Like I said we will go again !!! Great food.“

“One of my favorite place to grab lunch during lunch break. Usually like their burrito bowl. Like the food but front cashiers behavior is not nice. All the time they make faces as if they are tired and not at all welcoming.
Need to work on that.

“Have ordered many times from Ole’s. The food is delicious and service friendly and warm. Today, decided to eat in so we could try the nachos crispy and warm in the store. They were amazing!!! The other items were also great, my kids loved all of it. At the end, we had a chance to meet one of the owners, Manny. He was very friendly and warm, chatted with my boys and then surprised them with a warm churro. Needless to say, we’ll be coming back even more frequently now. Yum yum yum.“

“We came here on a thurs even around 6pm...Was pretty crowded but got a table in the middle..The sound level is pretty high at 3/4 capacity but somehow you seem to flow with it because of the atmosphere... People enjoying good mex food are more enjoyable to be around for some reason..anyway...lighting as with most place is difficult to read menu but once the order was in,alot of fun...I noticed the food to be very FRESH...I immediately tasted that in the beans on my Mexican special and the Flautas,chimichanga etc were all delicious stuffed and perfectly cooked!..Fajita steak was so nicely marinated and charred but med inside..Perfect!..Wait staff were all very pleasant....I enjoyed my visit and will defin visit during a slow day,maybe lunch for a lil more quiet....“

“I’ve been ordering from Orale for months now, but as soon as I crack open the container, the food hypnotizes me and makes me forget to take a picture. Every dang time. Not sure how I broke the spell this time, but let me tell you, still amazing.

I live on Long Island, so in my opinion, our average Mexican food is terrible. It’s either because too fancy and expensive trying to be more than it needs to, or it’s gone commercialized that’s overpriced and inconsistent quality-wise (looking at you tacombi). In steps Orale. Food is always amazing, fresh, consistent. Best chicken quesadilla I’ve had anywhere, hands down. Their carnitas burrito is also so savory and indulgent. My wife can never finish it in one serving.

Bonus: their red and green homemade sauces are so special. Really incredible balance of heat and flavor. I never have enough of it. I’m considering applying to an unpaid internship there just to learn how to make it myself. Or maybe I can get paid in sauce. Still working through the details here.

Double bonus: their staff is personable and attentive. Feels more like getting food from a friend.

Triple bonus: I walked in one time to get a pickup order and there was a 70th birthday party there and everyone was drinking tequila. Atmosphere was electric. Fired me up. I will now plan my next birthday there.“

“This is insane how big the burritos are! Holy cow! They were very good too. Had no idea what to expect. This was our first meal in NY and it did not disappoint! Only downside was the burrito fell apart and no silverware was included so it was a mess. But that was it. Otherwise it was a slam dunk. Loved it. -Some fat southern folk.“

“One thing I miss about living in Long Island are the Tex-Mex restaurants. Yes, they're not of the highest quality, and usually they're in a cheap location, and the horrible customer service is always a given, but I do enjoy the food every once in a while.

After searching for a Tex-Mex restaurant, I stumbled across Taco King. This location is actually pretty big with plenty of sitting space. My usual go-to dish at a Tex-Mex place is the Grilled Steak rice platter, so I decided to stick with what I like. I thought the steak here was excellent. It came with one flour tortilla, rice, beans, salad, guac, and chili. The quality and proportion was better than what I expected.

However, it was crazy expensive. I know I sound old, but I remember that only a few years ago, the same dish was about $8 or $9. Now it's over $17! I would gladly eat here more often if the price was cheaper.“

They treat you with respect and dignity. When you order triple chicken, they give you triple. They do not scrimp.

This is the only Mexican chain restaurant that I will go to. The other one's portions are disrespectfully small.

It has a great atmosphere to have dinner and stay after for drinks while listening to the deejay. The place turns from a quiet dinner to deejay vibes. “Wow what a fantastic find! We decided to try this new Mexican place, and it did not disappoint. Every single dish was packed with flavor. The tamale was perfectly moist and savory, and the taco Pescadero was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We also devoured the steak quesadilla, which was cheesy and full of tender steak. Don't even get me started on the empanadas—both the chili empanada and the chicken and cheese empanada were phenomenal. We can't wait to go back and try more!“

“This place crushes Chipotle and Guac Time in both price and flavor. Great people at this location, always inviting while providing great service. Chicken Birria is to die for. Tons of options with many more choices to fill your bowl or burrito. Spicy queso and spicy guac to name just two. Churros are awesome as well. Hands down, the best fast casual Mexican food in Northeast Queens. We are already regulars.“
