“Simple walk-in & order style chinese spot.
Prices are very fair. I think these are the best Chinese BBQ ribs in the area. The wonton soup is also good and can really satisfy a cold. There is a slight black pepper taste to it.

I always get what I expect and am always left feeling satisfied.“

“Typical family run Chinese takeout. I am trying different Chinese takeout out places in this area and try to support local businesses when I can.

Aesthetically, there is a tiny front area to pick up and order food from. There was a single folding table that someone was eating at. The tiny strip parking lot was crowded with cars from other stores and the spaces were cramped.

The picture-overhead menu was typical, with generic pictures of the plates - seemed dated but this is typical.

The counter person took my order and was friendly.

I ordered a half dozen dishes totaling over $40 as take out for 2 people. Food arrived quickly with barely a 10 minute wait.

Shrimp Chow Fun: (not bad)
most take out restaurants have a ‘browner’ sauce and usually heavier oil. This was a little bland by comparison but not bad. Vegetables were crisp and fresh, the rice noodles were not bloated and a little soy sauce to season to taste - as you like it is all that is required. Shrimp
Content was adequate.

Boneless Ribs: (solid!)
A barometer for me, Some have a runny bbq sauce while others might make it too dry. I actually would rate this amongst the best as the sauce was not too heavy, and not runny. It was flavorful and the pork had a bit of a sear but not dry. I would recommend this over white rice.

Wonton Soup:(recommended)
The wontons were not mushy or bloated. The broth was savory and tasty. The scallions were a delicious touch. One of the better offerings in the area.

Chicken with garlic sauce:(not bad)
Vegetables were all crispy and fresh. The chicken was moist. The sauce was a little on the light side- could have had a little more bite for my taste but overall, a good dish.

Hunan pork: (not bad)
Similar overall review as with the Chicken with garlic sauce. Fresh and tasty, perhaps a little on the bland side but not bad overall.

“Not the best Chinese food I have ever had. It was good enough for the price, and having some seating was nice. The staff was friendly, it was clean. The fry oil was a little past its prime, making the egg roll a bit off. We left satisfied and fueled up for an afternoon “

“Ming Hing is the absolute best Chinese food in Mahopac! I have been going here for over 20 years and I have tried just about every Chinese restaurant from Carmel to Somers to Yorktown. Ming Hing is consistently delicious! I can always count on them for great Chinese food and great service, even when they are extremely busy. If you haven’t tried Ming Hing yet, give them a try!

It was a Takeout order, I found the food to taste very fresh, the Vegetables and rice were delicious. The chicken was tender as well. The service was fast and friendly. I'm guessing that the majority of their business is takeout, that's why I rate the atmosphere 4 star, there's always room for improvement, for a takeout place it was acceptable, at least it was clean. “We needed a quick bite in between touring West Point and this was the perfect spot. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The chicken fried rice was cooked just right; the chicken was seasoned well and the portion was a plate full. The Mongolian beef had plenty of meat and fresh vegetables, it was served with steamed rice. The chicken and broccoli was served with a brown sauce and plenty of chicken and vegetables also served with steamed rice. The service was quick and friendly. “I took a day trip to Cold Spring via the Seastreak ferry. The restaurant caught my eye initially because of the clothing and gift items that were displayed outside. I found a beautiful reversible Shanghai Tang embroidered jacket, and took it inside to purchase. Inside the restaurant were more gifts and clothing for sale. The owner was very pleasant. The restaurant smelled great, so I decided to order food. I had the spicy chicken, pork and beef with white rice. It had the right amount of spice, and the portion was large enough that I had leftovers. If you find yourself in Cold Spring, I highly recommend a visit to New Ming Moon. You may just find a hidden treasure.“
