“This is the best place in mount Vernon! No. Best place in Westchester! My grandfather John Drakeford and I have been coming here since I was a child and for him way longer. Their cheese eggs are life. I brought my little sister there. She brought her husband and mother. Like the staff is the same since I was a baby. Yes, the location needs new furniture but who cares! Their food brings me back 100 times over. The staff is like my family and they dont even know it! Mike and Miss E. Will always be covered in blessings. I hope one day to Bring my children here my mom loved it too. This place is Drakeford tradition”

“On a whim, days after my 51st birthday J14, I was feeling nostalgic about my growing up in MV. I remembered how as a hungry kid coming from gymnastics practice at the YM-YWHA, across from Hartley Park, my little sister and I would ask my mom if we could get Pizza after practice. We would always go to Anthony’s Pizza on Gramatan Ave up until the fire. To this day, I have a love and high standard for the pizza I consume. I’ve been told I’m a pizza snob, but I digress. I got older, moved away and find myself back in NY Googling Anthony’s Pizza in MV. To my delight and surprise Anthony’s Pizza is BACK! I remembered Anthony’s son’s bday to be coming up soon in February same day as my little sister’s. I’m definitely stopping by next time I come back. I can’t wait. Anthony’s Pizza is the best pizza in MV hands down. I feel like I’m still getting bday gifts! See you soon.”

“The parking is street only and somewhat difficult. The prices are about on par to others. The sandwiches are good. They make great salads. They seem to keep fresh stuff. Very nice employees.”

“This is the best slice shop in Mount Vernon easily. I've lived here two years and haven't been able to find a good spot to order from.

The slices were crispy, the sauce wasn't sweet, and the proportions of ingredients were perfect.

“Oh man it’s been years since I had a real NY slice and Johnnys did not disappoint! We were the first ones there when they opened. Ordered 2 pies, one cheese one pepperoni. Both were damn delicious. Thin, light, tasty. Could just keep eating.”

The crust was delicious as well. great price for 2 large pepperoni pizzas, 1 philly cheese steak pizza and a slice of hawaiian pizza. service was great as well. “This place is must visit! Very very friendly staff, at the first time ive visited i had grilled chicken torta that I was dine in, next time was nachos, both times food was delicious and the people who make & serve the loud always smiling, try this place, u will thank me later!”

“I've lived around the corner since before they opened. Not the pizza I've grown up on but everything else is worth every penny. Calzones, wedges, Stromboli (had one tonight) easily feeds 2 hungry people. I am a big guy and even though it would have been hard to finish I did my best. Honestly, there are places near by that may have pizza that older Italian people may prefer but anything else I've tried was mangia belle.”

“I had the best beef/chx and broccoli from here, although initially I was apprehensive with the mixed reviews and the location, especially at night, but I was extremely impressed with the portion size and the taste. Definitely will go back and highly recommend!”
