“I came here to check this place out since it had great reviews and I was craving halal food. Upon entrance, it was a clean and inviting place and the friendly owners greeted me. They took care in setting up everything from the nice tables & chairs to beverage and food items. Very organized and meticulous. I asked for a chicken schwarma and falafel platter (not on the menu) and she was happy to accommodate. It was made fresh to order and everything was delicious! There was alot of food and I had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day. Price was reasonable too. I will come back here again whenever I’m craving a gyro, falafel, souvlaki, schwarma and of course the bagels (which looked fresh and yummy). Highly recommended!“

“The company at Lucky Star Bagel are awesome!!! Always so friendly. Orders always ready when ordered ahead. Bagels are delicious and loaded with seeds. “I grew up in Waldwick so I may be biased but as an Italian American I love this place. I recently moved away from Bergen County and didn't realize how good I had it. From the quality of the ingredients, freshness, value for your money there is no better Italian deli in my opinion. Their sandwiches are so good, the cold sides and salads are also very good. It's great for lunch or catering. I also love the assortment of prepared foods/soups and other products available. I for sure make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in town. 10/10 would recommend!“

“One of the best delis I’ve been to! Place is very clean, staff is very friendly, and the food is awesome. I myself am just a white guy who can’t handle spice, so I just got a simple bacon egg and cheese, not thinking anything of it - and WOW. It is the BEST breakfast sandwich I’ve had in my life!! I would give them 10 stars if I could. The selection of snacks and drinks is also very big so everyone can find something they like. Absolutely would recommend this place if you’re hungry and looking for something quick in the area!“

The only downside is that the wait time is sometimes a bit long (20-25 minutes even when I call in beforehand for cold sandwiches). I think it is justified though since they are often very busy and that makes me happy that they have so much business. I like the Bomber sandwich a lot if I'm in the mood for a hot one! “I was on the hunt for a pickle place and came across this hidden gem! My husband and I ran before the shop closed and we are so happy we made it! We were greeted by the sweet owner and he walked us through the different pickles, kimchi, etc. and took the time to explain the fermentation process so we could decide. We wish we could have taken a bit of everything but decided to go with the kimchi, full sour pickles, and sweet pickled garlic. I almost finished all the garlic and kimchi in one sitting! They were all delicious and as someone who has eaten dozens of kimchi types/brands, the pickle man’s kimchi is the real deal! Just the right amount of saltiness, sourness, and crunch. I will be coming back. Don’t stop making these! Highly recommend.“
