My wife and I recently experienced the joy of hosting my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding rehearsal dinner for seventy family members and out-of-town friends. Been going since 1973. Great pizza. Italian food very good.
I ask the waiter(he isn't new)if i could pay with a debit card, he said yes, than surcharge us Cc amount.
I questioned it and he said that's the restaurants rules.
I just had another situation so I looked up NYS law and debit cards are exempt from surcharges. Hopefully they educate their staff.
