Mudd Puddle Coffee Roasters Reviews
The owners, James and Michelle, and staff are always welcoming. Great selection of coffee and tea. They'll grind your selection of beans or take em home whole. James' paninis just great. Starbucks has nothing on Mudd except hype. You want good ☕️ and reasonably priced selection of quality products when you need a break Mudd Puddle is worth a drop in.
The Mud Puddle café is my Favorite café ever. The coffee, the teas, and my favorite: their ¡vegan chai lattes! Are the best. That paired with their chocolate chip cookies, is a dream come true. I enjoy coming in with my work, with a book, with a friend, or just on my own, to find peace and to be able to reconnect with myself over some happy peaceful quiet time. Then because I live nearby, I love the mornings when I wake up and smell the coffee being roasted down the street....read full review

Mudd Puddle Coffee Roasters is a cozy coffee shop located off the beaten path in New Paltz, known for its variety of typical drinks and seasonal specials, including the amaretto and campfire specials. They serve fresh and tasty baked goods and food, with amazing sandwiches like the breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and sausage on Multigrain, which can be customized with extras like spinach. The small space has limited seating, but the back porch offers a lovely view and is a great place to relax, especially in warm weather. The inside sitting area has been eliminated during recent renovations, leaving a cramped bar stool area, but customers can also sit in the outside back or in the Water Street Market community area in front, both of which are fun spots. Friendly staff provide decently paced service, even when busy. Although the kitchen often appears closed and they now mainly serve breakfast despite older menus, the breakfast remains delicious, and decaf coffee is very good. This family-owned spot is a favorite among locals, perfect for a quick coffee or breakfast stop with super low prices and a great selection of hot sauces. It’s also a cozy corner of New Paltz, ideal for grabbing a tea or latte and walking around nearby shops.
