“I pass this place all the time but never thought to stop in. Big mistake! The other morning I finally decided to give it a try and ordered a late breakfast via DoorDash. I went with the Venezuelan Breakfast, and wow, it was incredible. The shredded beef was perfectly seasoned, the caraotas (black beans) were flavorful, and the arepa was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The scrambled eggs and sweet maduros rounded everything out and made the meal so satisfying. Now I can’t wait to explore more of their menu. Highly recommend!“

“Everything was so good. We ordered a variety - including their chicken, jalea (think fried seafood mix DONE RIGHT), empanadas, chaufa, and flan. I'm not a flan person, but this was THE BEST FLAN I've ever had.
The empanadas are baked, perfectly seasoned, and feel homemade with love. The owners were so attentive and thoughtful, giving us great recommendations. I would 100% be back.“

“One of my favorite spots in town. They have an awesome variety of the most creative flavors. I try to change up my order each time, but I especially love the Humita (corn and béchamel sauce) and the mushroom, basil oil and cheese. Each empanada is stuffed so they are fun to split and share with others. The dipping sauces also go so well with each empanada.“

“Small spot, not a lot of seating. The woman at the counter not the most welcoming but nice enough. The coconut flan was absolutely delicious ($5). Not too sweet. Very creamy. My mom is a flan snob since she makes it herself, and she loved it!“

“Few restaurants are consistently better on every visit, Capers is one. We went with another couple for dinner. Wine was Ken Wright Pinot Noir-excellent. Appetizers were Squid and Tricolore Salad. Salad was very good, didn't try the Squid, but it smelled incredible. Entrees were Chicken Martini, Mussels, Short Ribs and Yellowfin tuna.- all very good. Service is great.“

As for the food, ufff, The Best Quipes in NY are here, some delicious croquettes, and the Yaroa Delicious. It has a very extensive menu and a lot of variety to choose from.
