Taqueria el chiltepin #4 Reviews
Great tacos. House made tortillas (extra) well worth it. Delish.
Staff is nice. Tacos are delicious
This place is great!
The food was amazing with a fair cost. I was happy with the meal and the varriety I was able to get. It was my first time eating tacos and the waitress was super helpful with recomendations. I was able to mix and match and try 3 different types in one meal.
the wait was short and the food was fresh. I forget the name but one of them had pinaples in it and it was great!
The atmosphere feels great with good music.

Taqueria el chiltepin #4 is a hidden gem in New Rochelle, offering a truly satisfying experience for those craving authentic Mexican cuisine. The ambiance is terrific, with a clean and colorful atmosphere, festive Mexican decor, and upbeat music. The staff members are warm and friendly, adding to the overall experience.
While the ground beef dish may lack flavor and be a bit greasy, the bistec (steak) is described as quite tough to chew on. However, the sauces and toppings are decent, and the restaurant has some interesting dishes to offer, such as the popular birria (slow-cooked goat) and chivo (goat) specialties, which are only available on Fridays and weekends, making them feel like a well-kept secret.
The chivo consomé, barbacoa, and tacos are all praised for their tenderness, flavor, and clear attention to detail in preparation. The restaurant is a must-try for those in the area and in the mood for something comforting and rich in tradition.
One customer was a bit disappointed with the chicken burrito, finding it to be heavy on the rice and lacking in meat and other fillings. However, the rice itself was described as very good, though a bit dry and difficult to eat.
Overall, Taqueria el chiltepin #4 is a hidden gem in New Rochelle, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere, along with a range of authentic Mexican dishes, particularly the chivo and birria specialties, which are not to be missed.
