Our first time and we will be back. The food was excellent-I choose veal piccata and hubby had chicken smothered in mushrooms etal on top of asparagus. We also split a delicious Caesar salad. Loved the wine too. Our server was delightful and he managed to serve all the tables! His parting words as we praised the evening “you have a friend here”.
Food is very good. Great spot to dine with friends when you want conversation and you can hear.
The food was incredible. We got a plain Pomodoro pasta as part of the appetizer, and it was so simple, perfectly acidic and delicious. The polenta and mushroom appetizer was also very savory and Not too heavy. The duck Ragu was delicious and the pasta you could tell was made fresh in house

83 1/2 is a cozy neighborhood restaurant known for its delicious Italian cuisine at reasonable prices. The food is fresh and well-presented, with standout dishes such as hearty short-ribs with trofie pasta, exceptional brussels sprouts, and delightful appetizers like watermelon salad drizzled with balsamic, fresh basil, and feta. The eggplant parmigiana balls with melted burrata cheese are a perfect match for the toasted bread. Shrimp Scampi over linguine is another highlight, featuring fresh pasta and a rich butter wine sauce. Service is generally considerate, attentive, and friendly, although it can be slow when the restaurant is busy, as noted when only one waiter was present. It may get moderately noisy, and some diners have experienced less-than-friendly service during peak times. Despite these issues, the overall dining experience remains positive, making it a popular spot for consistent and enjoyable meals.
