Excellent with diverse menu from handmade pasta to seafood, chicken, veal, steak, and vegetarian options. Reasonably priced. Small and charming space
We were looking for authentic Italian food with a quiet & quant atmosphere- and we found it!the service was attentive & allowed us to create off the menu. The capellini with shrimp & clams was tasty, and came out quickly as well as the spinach fettuccini. We also had a late reservation- 9:30pm and they did not rush us out at 11pm so we could enjoy our a bottle of Monticello!
Top notch Italian restaurant with outstanding food and service. Dining room a bit too dark.

Based on the reviews, Italianissimo Ristorante is a neighborhood gem nestled on a side street on the UES. It is a cozy, charming restaurant with great food and excellent staff. The service is wonderful, and the food is amazing. The appetizer mussels were plump, delicious and very plentiful. The salmon was done perfectly and the veal was excellent and tender. It is a standout, reliable neighborhood place that is unusually friendly and quiet. The food is uniformly excellent. It is a great true Italian restaurant and a great place to go to after the MET.
