The dishes are tasty, but the plating style might be considered unique, with all entrees served in a bowl. Despite a few hiccups with the drinks service and some inconsistencies in the guest experience at the hotel, the overall stay is pleasant. The hotel itself is stunning and well-attended, with soothing decor and attention to detail. The omakase experience at Nama is particularly fabulous, although a sake pairing is not available. The brunch/lunch menu at Arva could use some improvement, as it leans more towards breakfast or dinner options rather than traditional lunch fare. The spa treatments are excellent, but the lack of a dedicated pre-treatment relaxation area is noted. While there were some issues with room amenities and requests during the stay, the staff is generally attentive.
